I've been doing 600/Smite with heroes the last few days and I'm getting stuck/killed at the same spot: Coldfire Nights

Since the buff to [[Aura of Restoration] I can’t seem to kill them; it just takes too long and I'm not getting the energy regain quick enough to keep myself up long enough to kill them, even in normal mode.

I've tried taking energy drain skills such as [[Sympathetic Visage] to try and stop them from using skills and mainly AoR but this hasn't worked.

Does anyone know how to get past them?

Hi

I assume your intention is to farm ectos from smites, if so you can avoid all coldfires and kill all smites, I suggest watch their patrol paths and sneak past them. Hope that solves it up.

Grind those pink globs!

Did you try Finish Him or Pain Inverter yet to kill them faster?

Coldfire are an easy kill with 600/smite...agro them with Spell Breaker up and then all you need is to keep Shield of Absorbtion, no Spirit bond or Protective spirit are needed, so no energy problems should be. You can still spam one of them to gain some health from Divine favor. After first Spell breaker goes off coldfires should have not anymore energy for Maelstrom, and the rest of their skills cant realy hurt you. As soon as SB recharges put it up again so coldfires cant gain health from Aura of restoration.
It takes quite long to kill them, couple of minutes in HM, so just avoid them. As I can remember, there are only 4 groups that can't be avoided in order to get all the smiters.

coldfires are the bane of 600/smite - their weapon dmg is so low its sad . This is why they take so damn long to kill - guessing at max around 40 dmg ( with frenzy ) unlike other foes who hit the crap outta you easly.Do like mihi suggested but on topic with pi - even that wont give massive payback of dmg really.
Tbh anet really needs to go thru all foes and check all the casters as certain places even in hardmode have casters who do small wand dmg and that affects spirit bond no matter what you do ( gargoyles outside nolani/fire djinn in dahsa vaestibule , fire imps outside la - just to name a few .. try 600/smite the fire imps hm and see what happens when you activate spell breaker .. you can actually die thru Sbo failure )

Using Radiation Field makes it much faster

personally my strategy is when Spell Breaker goes down and they cast malstrom (however you spell it ^.^) cast SoA and spirit bond PS if needed and move back into the malstrom for lots of energy
