Hello, does it still drop ectos in Tome of the primeval Kings nm? and does it drop more in hm?

no. they never drop. ectos were removed from the game.

I Think Ecto's Do Drop In TopK But At A Stupidly Low Drop Rate....
I Cleared 1st Two Levels Before And Didnt Get Anythin Worth Mentioning In Nm.

ecto does drop in tombs, but as mentioned above its seems like a pretty sad drop rate. The number of critters that drop them are lower than UW though so meh who knows. When i solo the entire thing its seems like maybe 1 or 2 drop.

I think they drop for dream riders and the teroweb things. Double check on wiki.

As for the OP, I have only had a couple drop from the b/p days, it's alot more rare than the UW

Good old times. I had few too, once even 2 ectos in one b/p run. That was lucky

It's better to go to UW

Well, I haven't been to tombs in ages
However, people seem to think since some of it became perma-able the drop rate has reduced.
from personal experience i think you actually get more from the first level than the rest, but thats just me. but yes they do drop down there

they do drop in topk from Terrors and dream riders (very low rate though)- I usually just farm the 1st level when im bored, believe you can kill 3 riders and like 6 terrors within 1-2 minutes as a perma.

and to answer your other question, hm or nm does not affect the drop rate (supposedly). I always do hm though for the gold item drops.

Yea they drop from terrorweb dryders during the quest there... I think i got one 2nd or thrid level

No. Ectos drop in all levels, but only from Terrorwebs and Dreamriders. So to answer your questions, yes they drop and no the group rate is not better in HM.

I don't know about TotPK, they do drop in Kessek's Peak in Kryta. Though I never saw it. Apparently the High lvl Nightmares apparently drop them at a rate of 0.00000000001%.

as long as were throwin out rediculous odds.. they drop in maguma jungle as well. Ive spent hours and hours farmin the jungle and have never seen one drop. however i did see a screenshot of one that had dropped.

And we all know SS can not be photo shopped!! lmao.

I don't know about that, but I do know that Ravagers that spawn if you fail the bonus in Bloodstone Fen drop ectos, but the rate it extremely low and it isn't worth it to kill them for ectos.

Well, as everyone has already said, yes they drop Totpk.

Each individual rider or dryder has about the same chance of dropping an ecto in Totpk as they do in UW from what I have seen. So saying that the "rate" is low is misleading.

It's just that there are far fewer things that drop them in Totpk than UW. On the first level there are only about 9 opportunities for an ecto. In UW you get that many just from the bladed aatxes before you ever get to the plains or wastes.

On the other hand, there is no entrance fee, the run is much easier to learn and the first level at least is very quick.
