Tried this run with a different build = 55 Necro with SV.

Skills: Prot Spirit, Heal Breeze, SV, Vamp Touch, Awaken the Blood, Mending, Balth Aura, Prot Bond.

Equipment: -50 cesta, -20 offhand, +5e 20% melee, q9 blood wand (the wand isn't necessary but if you just want to wand them down instead of Vamp Touch, you can)

You are somewhat "squishy" doing this but if you only aggro one mob at a time, it is quite survivable = time Vamp Touch as necessary. Energy return is high so you can spam PS and HB (but w/o Divine Favor will depend on HB's return or Vamp Touch for quick health).

I have only done this route on Hard Mode for obvious reasons (THE DROPS).

I _highly_ recommend learing to do this build with a -20 HP offhand in your inventory - if you die and come back as a 13 hp build, you're invincible...just switch back to cesta as your DP goes away (and in HM, it goes quickly).

Also, with the 55 Necro SV build, you mod your run a bit in HM = you farm Sskai on the way to the 'Sins and then farm the 1000 daggers Sin boss too at the end (just be sure to pull him off to the side before you get slammed from the incoming mobs charging in). Using the SV instead of SS allows you to solo the bosses since you're not dependent on other mobs for dealing extra damage.

Doing a few runs last night (in HM), I got 7 golds (mostly armors + golden talons + brute sword) and tome drops (2 regular Sin, 1 elite Sin).

16Curse, everything else in Prot. 55hp or 105hp, don't matter.

Alternateing SoA and Healing Hands you should not take any damage at all. You can tank as many as you could pull, run up the steps at one of the houses, and drop them all at once. One cast of SS, Defile and Desecrate will drop them. For 1000 daggers, SS, Insidious, and PS, don't need SoA or Shielding Hands

I ran this with a monk last night and it worked exceptionally well. Well enough that this spot gets two thumbs up from me and will be added to my farming route! 1st run I got a +5EN Jitte from one of the Locked Chests, and 2nd run I got a Platinum Wand (merched since only single mod, but there's potential). I used 55hp but you can do it upto 130hp depending on your Shielding Hands reduction.

I just killed individual groups since the drops seemed to be better but you can use the little stairs to block them in. The amount of time spent rounding them all up and killing them seemed to be about equal to killing each group individually. If you really wanted to use the stair trick I'd bet money you could load up a few AOE smite skills (balth's aura, Kirins, SoW) and just AoE the crap out of them. SS was working so good for me I didn't even bother trying smiting...

Also there is no run involved for me. I have zero Luxon faction and ~8.5k Kurzick faction and I just run out and die. You will spawn right next to the farm spot (bridge) on the other side of the map. I assume this is from the lack of Luxon faction or me having more Kurzick vs Luxon faction?

Now I need to get a nice Curses OH for my monk (damn you!). I had forgotten how nice SS was when soloing...too bad they scatter from SS.

Levi's got the best build right there, I can usually do a run pretty quick, including the boss.

Tips on the boss please? The group with the necro attached to him comes rushing up as soon as I aggro him, and I either get stripped or vamp'd? It's insta-gib for me every time and I know I can easily kill this guy.

i usually get into the corner of the stares and the wall and cast a spell on him ether IP or SV and he comes to you and other group doesn't spawn

but after you kill him the a group does

I us a build about the same as Levi's to kill the boss cast ss as cloes as you can to him then run up the stairs and run to the far top right corner of the building most of the time you can kill him before his friends find you

Try dying where the first oni spawn. You should be tele onto the temple.

Shielding/SoA are just personal. I do not use any of them.

Nerco kill much faster. 1 SS and gg-ed to all.

What do the Luxon folks here drop that Kappas outside Gyala Hatchery don't?
I just have to know this as I'm slightly irritated at having done this quest already with my Necro (did it to get Luxon faction to get her 15k Luxon armour).

Guys, you don't need both essense and spirit in hard mode. Things hit you quick enough that using both is overkill. Bring something like suffering instead.

Yeah, Essence Bond does not give you energy if you're using SH/SoA.

I've tried this with SoJ and I've tried it with SS/IP, and I must say SS/IP is much faster. Takes less then 15 seconds to kill a group of 3 assassins.

Btw, what kind of drops do you guys get? The only golds dropping from the assassins are runes for me.

Sounds like I've been using it for nothing then. Or nothing until I get to the last enemy and start relying on the two health regen I have to stop me dying... at which point damage isn't reduced to nothing....

Wonder what that could be replaced with in an SV/IP necro build... Maybe Life Siphon... ^_^ ... Then that might end too quickly to rely on it as Regen to counter Degen... o_0;

yeah only runes for me also, not a single non-rune gold from the assassins. I've gotten some other things from the chests, but nothing worth 1.5k.

no platinum weapons or staff of anykind just runes.
