Ok, so I have been farming feathers for over a month at Jaya Bluffs. Been making really good money until yesterday... I had the worst run ever, 4 feathers and 5 feathers crests

. I thought that it was just the run. Then today, 2 bad runs. Then I asked my friend who showed me the build and taught me the farm. She said that the place was nerfed and that there are new builds and new places to farm them.
I was just wondering if this is true. And if anyone else was getting crap drops.

i've had strings of bad runs like that before, but i've also had strings of very good runs with lots of feathers/feathered crests, minor vigor, attunements/survivors, and golds. It's just luck, pure and simple. I was kegging and had the same experience with bad runs in a row, then a guildie advised me to zone out go do a mission and that will "reset" the anti-farm code..after a 10 min debate in guild chat about it, I did a quick mission - came back to kegging and guess what?...a no gold/tome/glacial stone run! The very next run, 5 golds, 2 tomes and some stones...long story short, it doesn't matter imo...just keep farming them and your good runs will come. Just to be sure though, I'll try a Jaya Bluff (solo NM r/rt) run right now and report back

EDIT: 6 feathers, 9 feathered crests, a radiant and a vitae...126 gold...i haven't merched it yet, so dunno what total value of all drops are, but needless to say the feather count was a much lower than average, but 10 more runs like this and I would feel comfortable in saying that something has changed. I'll do a few more and report back again.

AND

1 more run...this time more feathers and more crests, 2 gold and an attunement rune....overall a better run and this is the 2nd of two in a row...so with an upward trend, albeit an insignificant sample size, it's hard to convince me that it has been nerfed....

According to a-net the farm code isn't in place "anymore."

@ gw_poster Do the R/E build, it's faster.

I pretty much only do that farm on event drop weekends and once I do a run and notice that I didn't get as much as normal I go farm elsewhere for a bit or do other things and hit it again the next day and the results are back up to normal.

bowstring, you should know better. I myself honestly farming is my main staple of GW play. I run just about every class farming build you can imagine because I enjoy the solo hunt and shinies. Let me say this when they nerf a zone it is because of bot activity 90% of the time and there is no need to sneak it in with a update they can do it anytime. They may have party scaled your farm, try taking a couple henchmen and keep them flagged back out of range. I have before and after pictures of Raptors,trolls,hydras,gryphons, and about every other mob to those who don't think they scale drops in over farmed areas

my advice try the henchmen leach trick and if that fails find a new spot.

and yes I agree with Orange Milk, you can over-farm a zone and limit your drops in some areas not all of them.

I've never heard of either Jaya bluff farming or a farm spot getting nerfed.

Have your friend check her source, otherwise it's probably just bad luck on drops.

you never heard of a farm getting nerfed???? you must not farm much. Do you think people doing raptors take leachers for the company? No. it is because the raptor cave has party scaled drops and when people come to get points and stay out of range you get their gold drops.

stop spreading the lie that leechers cause more drops. the party scaleing drops only works if they are in your radar.

I agree with Lodge, I raptor farm on events and have taken groups and done solo and have had the same rate of drops. Doing it solo however gets rid of the headache of dealing with others that don't like to listen.

I don't have the time or concern to spread "lies" but I do know how it works.

I like how half of the posters deny there is any farming code and then when I point out a obvious one I get berated over method. Listen do not derail this mans thread with these stupid comments.This is not about raptor farm or method. I pointed out a obvious nerfed farm and what many people do to try and get around the code. I personally disagree with you I have two accounts and I use my 2nd account as a out of range leecher all the time.

put this back on topic Jaya bluffs- My point was there IS anti farming codes and people do things to get past them. This is not about it working or not.
I dont know if they hit jaya or not but anyone who says they did'nt hit raptors must not of farmed it in the early days.

Seriously though, I've tried this run in NM and it's not as profitable with drops or feathers as it is in HM. In HM I run smite/600 with the double SB deal happening and Radiation Field... birds die super fast and feathers drop in numbers of 19-27 per bird.

Well I am in Tyria bird farming and running into no problems 70-100 feathers a run. If there is a farm code then you need to clear the pipes and do something else for a while. I would not be surprised. But GW would be sooo boring if we ever did know everything

Its been said time and time again - dont over farm a zone .
1. Farm target zone for several runs
2. Go for either an alternate farm for a few zones or do a short run - say marketplace to kaineng ( some reason it treats it like being elsewhere between zones ).
3. return to original farm for a few runs.
I gather with all the people who shout "xxxxx farms been nerfed" only use 1 chr for farming - i farm feathers on 5 diff chrs who i alternate and if theres been a nerf it must have slipped past me as none of them have had seriously bad drops.
Its bad luck your having - same as i have bad luck with gok and bergen for dust - 3x done gok mission and had a grand total of zero dust tho slightly more orr embs than usual - but thats just luck.

And yes anet stated antifarm code dont exist but if you have never understood what it was - from what i was told when overfarmed you actually had a message of sorts come thru , you can always ask any 4yr players about this.
Anet stated they dropped it and replaced with loot scaling - any person with logic would work out you get good drop and bad drop days and if you overfarm you get more junk - a majority of players have already said this as well as evidence from the mass amount of "xxx been nerfed" posts for almost every zone going at some stage.Also tho anet never verified how the drops change due to over farming as when loot scaling was dropped on us we still had a huge amount of bots doing repetative farming.
How does anets code deiferentiate between Joe bloggs farming Gok everyday for 4 hrs and a bot doing the same ? If it was that easy then gw would be bot free totally.
The cry used to be constantly said about Uw and ectos .
If you farm one place for a month and nowhere else on that chr - then its your fault the drops decreased badly.

The issue isnt leechers nor were they in the op post so can we be without them - leechers have had their own posts for arguing on.

Hve done a few runs in Jaya 2day, its perfectly fine, between 70-120 feathers a run

after too many runs at same place you start getting absolutely crap drops..no zone has been "nerfed" no matter who says what.

I 600 rit/smite Jaya Bluff fine in HM and get anywhere from 150-220 feathers a run. No nerf at all. Just a bad run.

my 5 skill any/rit build gave my 116 feathers in 2 runs(small 8 min runs)
so looks ok

In my almost 2 years farming feathers in Jaya Bluff I have never experienced nor heard of anyone having such bad hair days, lol. I did a run today because of what the OP said, and got a gold, 22 crests and 60 feathers. No nerf at all. It will be highly improable for Anet to nerf a farming spot when the prices of feathers is shooting through the roof. If that happens, then we will see feathers being priced at 15k a stack.

Sometimes I do get players asking for like 12 stacks feathers after selling them all I had. 2 days solid farming to get those without experiencing anything like what OP said. If I do experience low drops (nothing like the OP) maybe like 10 crests and 30 feathers and no golds, I will farm elsewhere or do some other stuff. The drops will improve over time, and I do this because, yes, I do think drops does get better. I could be wrong though. Furthermore, I also believe that slower kills begets more drops but again that is my opinion and my experience. I don't believe in antifarming code as I also do Raptors, Vaettirs, Hydra, Queen Kephket, Shreador, Pongmei, Tsumei Valley, Kryta mission, Kryta Province, Bergen etc, solo and have no problems with drops.
