Default UWSC N/Rt Vale Questions.

Hi Guys,

I recently started doing UWSC's as a chamber sin, however this soon became tedious, and I am now going to assume the role of a vale Necro, as this seems fun, and there seems to be less pressure.

I'm running the standard PvX build, with Defile Enchantments in place of By Ural's Hammer.

I was wondering, after watching many youtube videos, are there any real tricks to this, or can I feign experience just by following the vale sin, and just blowing stuff up with Spirit Rift, SS and Ancestors Rage?

Any Advice appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul

Yep you can just completly fake everything. The videos are nice guidelines on what to do, but after you've done it a few times you can do things your own way.

Also I prefer awaken the blood to urals or defile. But that may be just me

Thanks for your reply.

A few questions though, should I get the assassin to ping when he's got them balled up, so I know when to start SS/AR/SR?

Also, once the Mindblades spawn before I grab Escort of Souls, should I help the Assassin kill them, or do I just run past to the Reaper of the labyrinth, and let the Assasin do his work?

Also, if I die, is it reasonable to blame it on the Assassin?

If you die, it's because the enemies broke aggro. This rarely happens with the Aatxes but is not uncommon with the Graspings.
I tend to carry Hexer's Vigor in case they start to catch up with me, just to prevent my death.

Good Vale sins tend to ping when they're ready, but you can ask them to when you start the SC. You can usually tell when he's ready though.

After you've escorted the souls, feel free to help kill the Mindblades, your work is done and it's a potential ecto drop. If they break aggro (which isn't very common if the sin is positioned well), run away and if you die, don't worry too much, so long as the sin kills them.

In Escort of Souls, the Assassin should round up the mindblades in to a tight ball against the far wall of the hallway thus allowing you and the spirits to pass safely. Just remember to walk slowly or backwards so that the spirits stick to you and don't wander to the Assassin and be killed. Your vale sin should let you know when it's safe to pass.

When you've transported the spirits, you can then walk back and help the Assassin kill the ball of mindblades if he hasn't killed them already.

You, as a vale necro, can't die in Escort of Souls unless A) you walk in to Mindblades, or B) the Assassin somehow let some Mindblades leak (very rare.)

Ok, thanks for the help guys.

So just to get things straight
Chamber Sin clears chamber>Take restoring Grenths> Tell Chamber all clear once at the Vale> Kill Everything (Standing behind the mansion)> Position Assassin >wrathful Spirits> Back to Labyrinth> Escort Of Souls > Sin Balls up Mindblades (but does not attack > I back-pedal Past > Souls are transported.

Sorry for all these questions, I just want to avoid the cry of "OMG NOOB VALE! PAY CONS!"

Yes, that's pretty much it. After you've escorted the souls, you're free to kill the mindblades if you so choose. After that, you sit around and wait for everyone else to finish.
If you're unlucky, you might need to res some failures.

Also people will tell you not to, but when doing escort ping a target, that way the souls will only follow you.

And remember 9 mindblades spawn for escort, if you see 6 tell the vale sin hes missed some no matter how many times he insists he hasnt

Erm... what?
As far as I know, the souls will follow whoever in range is moving the most, nothing more. You should be the only person in range moving, so just keep moving until you reach the marker.

My point was, they followed you because you were moving. What is pinging a target supposed to achieve?
Does it exploit something in their AI that you have not described and I am unaware of?

Yes, pinging a target causes allies to assume the AI of henchmen, they will follow you as if you were the party leader, and will not enter into combat unless you actually wand something.

Yeah it makes them follow whoever pings.
Same as the snakes in DoA - Foundry

I recently tried this, and died after some rubberbanding and some "OMG NOOB WTF R U DOING!?"

My question is, when the chamber clears everything, there's 2 Aataxes left. Do we need to kill them? or just run past? Last time we just ran past after I got an earful about hitting one with SS. Do you only attempt it if you have a Terra SF Vale tank?

The a/n should aggro them two aataxes whilst waiting for the chamber to kill the terrors, and you kill. Sometimes there are two groups of two. Kill them all

If you feel like it give me a pm in game (names to the left) I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. (Although i may take a while to get back to you depending on what im doing )
