Hmm, we were saying things like this 6 months ago (bear in mind that post was made when RoJ was only just changed and hadn't become mainsteam). But this build is a bit of an obvious solution in my opinion, what is the logical choice behind taking FoC > ESurge (just looking at ranges i'd pitch for ES any time, FoC=adjacent, ESurge=nearby). Why not just control RoJ aggro with AoE KD and snares DF?

All I see was a passing mention of "Feast of Corruption" as 1 of many AoE skills which are armor ignoring...

How rank heavy is this build, do you need max LB/SS for it or can you slip by with non-max titles?

And Grtz on getting a build together so quickly.

RoJ with snare works but its anoyin. scatterness is awful, we have tried VoR with DF in a roj team, its heavily dependent on EoE. its anoyin to kill single movin targets, eg, jadoth, dryders, or anything that breaks n goes for the main team.
Have you tried fragility already?

EDIT: found this for VSF http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:Team_-_Frag_VS_Farm

Snare doesn't work in Elite area or anywhere else, its only sounds good on paper but not in reality.

1)The only reliable snares are deep freeze and ice spike. Shared Burden is the only other AoE snare that's not point blank but its elite and only 33%. Grasping is only 50%. Ice spike also need investment into water magic which is a no-no because of how shitty elemental dmg is in HM....so deep freeze is the only one.

2)HM monsters can still move out pretty damn quickly even with 66% snare. If someone on your team lags or the coordination is off then you get a mob that moved out of AoE and didn't die. Since HM elite area monsters do like 200+ dmg its gonna wipe the team if that happens.

Zzzzz. Stupid comments are stupid. Of course you'd use deep freeze for high end elites, its the best snare round and has already been used in The Deep to control Onis with Shadow Step forever. Yes I understand that things will move, but this still a spike and they stay in range long enough to get below 90% health, so EoE will clears things up. We tested and tried. Normal team with a decent DF (and some aoe kd like earthquake if youre bad) is pretty much fine.

What about if you can kill without needing a snare at all?

Would it be possible to just use a dual Earthquake?

Mindbender, Earthquake, Dragon Stomp

You can really fine tune the KD chain using a Mesmers fast casting to get the gap down as low as possible. Gives you the option of running E-Surge and/or CoP to use while there getting back up. And the Permasins get the option of Aftershock. If you REALLY wanted to you could run Meteor of Echo for a 3rd KD although you'd be seriously screwed by exhaustion unless you ran GoE.

Cryway still works, just did a laid back 1 hour 20 min run. Must have max ranks in both SS/LB.

Too much exhaustion...the whole point of these kinds of builds is to get through the area without too much resting time for efficiency, not just "can we kill them".

Its a perfectly appropriate comment considering the purpose of this thread. Its a gimmick farming build thread in the farming forum, so my definition of "working" is that it has to be more efficient than the standard tank+snare+nuke. I'm perfectly justified in preferring the most efficient option, which is to kill without using riskier snare + nuke methods, where stuff like aataxes or destroyers with super armor has a high chance of surviving a full nuke stack.

Ok, I just deleted seventy nine posts from this thread that were made recently. You guys have got to be kidding me, are you all really that immature? Some of you are lucky I didn't ban you.

Let me make this very clear:

- Next person to insult SCAR gets a 2 week ban
- Next person to insult icU gets a 2 week ban
- If any little flame war between icU and SCAR takes place, this thread is being closed and I will not allow it to be re-opened, and the people in the flame war will all receive a 2 week ban.

I'm not kidding around, this is just pathetic.

Agreed. It was getting kind of annoying.

Thanks to you guys for sharing your builds. I figured the 2 necros would be the best solution but we haven't done much testing yet in my guild. I was actually quite happy to take a break from DoA.

Again though, thanks for sharing and it's nice to see ppl in the community helping each other out.
