Default Stopping Scatter?

Is there any way to reduce or eliminate scatter when trying to pick up a bunch of mobs over a large area? I'm not sure if hard mode is different in that respect as I don't have it unlocked but if there's a way to pick up large areas of mobs in normal mode, please let me know how!

Thanks in advance!

if you have an ele or a ele hero, use Deep Freeze.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Deep_Freeze
it hexes foes by 66%movement for 10secs without speccing into water.

Most AIs nature is to go left, so put their left side against a wall and block their front, usually they won't move too much

Spam Deep Freeze or simply wall them to not scatter.

Deep freeze seems to be pretty energy intensive...any tips on how to keep deep freeze going and also maintain shadowform? For A/E that is...

If you are perma sin, bring Grasping Earth, if you are a random caster, bring Summon Ice Imp, if you are a war/derv/normal sin, bring Club of 1000 Bears.

Rangers and Paragons are boned.

Or, just bring Deep Freeze on a hero.

I agree with Grasping Earth. It works pretty well in areas with a lot of scatter. Works best with sliver perma

Steps:
1. Trap them into a corner and body block them with your h/h or team mates.
2. Nuke them to oblivion!

When they run it IS really annoying.

I also heard a good way to prevent scatter is to keep your health LOW. If your health is low, they are more likely to lock onto you, per say.

I can't confirm this, though

You're going to be irritated at the scatter playing a melee class, it gets old fast.

Although I have to say it, you haven't even unlocked hard mode and your already playing a perma?

Enjoy the game first dude.

I always bring a MM with me. Most large mobs will focus on the Minions up in the front, keeping them all bunched together. Nice way of keeping mobs from scattering as well.

Or if you have it, use Discord as well as another variant. The mob of minions will hold the enemy in place as you cast your scatter spells. Works great for me and don't have any scatter issues.

Like this, the X is the enemy, | is the walls, and ^is you
/'s indicate spaces, as this wont let me use a space, or Alt 255
//|
/X|
^/|

As you're facing them, back-pedal, keeping a wall on their LEFT hand side(Your right as you're facing the mob), then take a TINY step to the left (As you're facing them), just tap Q, and go from there.

What I use when Perma-Vaettir'ing, or when I go Perma Chamber in UWSC

make sure u are in front of monsters and make sure there is a wall on the MONSTERS left, this way they'll just stand there and not move isntead of scattering.
They won't attack so if you need an attack (ss) wand the one wich is hexed)

something like this, the monster is looking to the right ! and you are infront of them

The method I usually do to keep HUGE groups of 10-20 mobs on me in normal mode is to let your health drop after shadow form to the 55 health or what not before recasting, and then keeping it low with flashing a vampiric weapon.
