I don't get why you want to farm Mursaat now. A lot has changed since "awhile back" which includes farming areas and value of stuff. I don't see any good that can be dropped from Mursaats. The trophies or pointless and the collectors offer very undesirable trades for them. Aside from that no one really cares about mursaat weapons, be it their wands, staffs, or the jade bows and hammers. Anyways, if the latter was the case people can get the bonus mission pack, complete the D'Alessio story, and get the desired mursaat weapon from the story teller guy. Not only is this method practical, but the selection has more variety than you'd get from farming for mursaat weapons in prophecies.

So, enlighten me. What are the good benefits from farming Mursaats that contends to popular farming areas? (Like Raptor Farming.)

The mursaat hammer is animated right? The bonus pack one is not animated and I thought Mursaat Hammers were pretty pricey still.

doesnt matter how unprofitable it is, just the thrill of getting mursaat drops

anyways

a mo/n 55 with spiteful and i am unstoppable should be able to farm ring of fire at the beggingin, resign and repeat

oh and owal a req8 perf will still sell for alot

req9 tyrians still sell for 50-75k a piece perf 15^50 hammer and bow

besides killing , i suggest chest run ice floe or ring of fire where chests appear near mursaats, probably better chance of getting a mursaat weapon

Becuase this is way better than this.
Non iscriptable Murssaat Hammers (and bows by the way) are still worth a lot, so yes, there's a reason to farm them.

To OP, I've never tried to farm them, but I think a classic 55 would work.As a damaging elite either spiteful spirit or spoil victor.
As you will take 0 damage from spectral agony (and everything) the biggest problem would be degen (from that skill or from other sources, e.g. mursaat necromancers), countering it is only possible with mystic regeneration (in this case you should use shield of judgment as your elite) or with infused armor. Or you could take spirit bond and let it heal you, since you will take over 60 damage each second (excluding attack from monsters).
Another problem is that jade hammers can kd, so you should take i am unstoppable or fleeting stability if you go mo/d. Mursaat elementalist can daze you if you don't move out of thunderclap (the area is easily seen, and you just need to move out of it), and mesmers have a lot of energy denial.

A 600 or a perma would work too (the perma would need infused armor or a bonder though, or he will die from spectal agony).

They are fairly easy to 600. You do not even have to be infused.

Not sure a 55 would work so well anymore... you'd have to find places where the Elementalists aren't in plenty... Thunderclap can own a 55 pretty fast. The 600 smite setup should work quite well though.

eles, mes, nec would take too much effort to farm. just 55/ss with either monk or nec on ring of fire and np.

Pre-nerf Spirit Bonding. Won't work that great now.

Also, yeah, Thunderclap can be bothersome now.

Owik, some people farm specific areas/monsters because they like the skin of weapon that is dropped. Doesn't always have to be about profit.

If you wanted a certain skin, it would be better to farm a high profit area and just buy what you want. It's faster that way.
