Default New Players to UWSC

Hey all, this is a shout-out to all of those people new to UWSC. I've only done the chambers run a few times, and when I do, the people are so uptight and if you're about 15 seconds behind schedule someone starts shouting NOOB! NOOB! NOOB!(Yes that's happened to me before, and I am noob to uwsc)

This is for all those players that want to learn but can't because almost no one's willing to teach. For those of you out there that do teach it, thanks for all your help, videos, etc.

The truth of the matter is, I can run almost any of the uwsc builds, but I have to learn where to go, who to kill, when to do it, etc.(which is why I chose chambers, I don't have to run anywhere)

But the point of this thread is for those people new to it that want to learn, PM me ingame or on here. I don't know how to run all of the uwsc, but I figure we can learn it together.
I'm on alot, add me to friends list and we'll work on it together. I've learned lots of other farms, so I want to learn this one too to broaden my horizon a bit.

youtube?

that's all you need if you're new. and please don't say it doesn't give you enough information.

In all honesty, You can learn every area in only an hour or two by watching good videos on youtube. And don't just watch one, watch 2 or 3 of the same area.

But please actually watch them, like study where they pull, why they pull, why they use certain skills.

Personally for me, this applies for every farm that I learn on youtube, Especially one's that involves going in a pug with other players, I don't attempt it until i've memorized the entire video. Basically don't watch a 6 min video on pools than go into ToA and spam 6min PRO POOLS LFG!. Patience is a virtue. Don't go pug until you're confident you know what you're doing.

And you can't get mad at people getting mad at you for you wasting their time + money. You should expect that, just remind them they were new once too.

there are those who learn in different ways... i find videos hard to learn from and being taught in game for me is so much easier. i can take direction well from doing instead of watching a video then trying to do that with a group who expect me to be perfect when i am still in fact a noob. i will be hitting you up in game man i would love to learn some uwsc... so far i can do chambers but would like to learn plains. ttyl mate

Actually, thanks for bringing that up. I have watched a few vids but angry's right. I know what to do, but I don't want to go with a pro exp no fail group unless I've experienced it firsthand.

I know what ya mean, and I expect people to be mad. But what I'm trying to say is that it's hard to find a group that needs to learn. Everybody that's there has been doing it for a while, and people new to it need to learn too.

VERY VERY frequently do i see people advertising a practice run. All you have to do is buy/craft some cons and start a "practice" group. If you're terrible and know you're going to fail, than offer the run for free, that's up to you. But just advertise it's a practice run and i guarantee you'll have at least 20 people trying to join your group.

^ you'll soon find out that most groups who advertise with these phrases are anything but.

some of the best uwsc groups i've had have been with people who simply self-invite.

I've been looking to try out some new Monk builds for Mountains, I just don't want to pay for Essences by myself for each build tweak. Paying for a portion is more to my liking ^^

Hit me up in-game if you need me, IGN is Ariena Najea.

I'll try to put this the best I can without being rude. The whole point of this thread is to get a few people together and learn uwsc. No offense intended, but it's not meant to have people post on it telling me how to do it, I'm just looking for people who want to do it together on a team.

Ariena this isn't intended toward you, I play a monk too and would love to help.

Yeah I know I could do that, but I actually don't see people practicing much, and when I do, I try to get on it, but this thread is here to get a few people who want to learn to do it to learn to do it together.

That's actually a good idea, I wasn't targeting you, I was kind of speaking in general. I wish all new players organized and practiced together. Pugging might not be that bad if it was always this way. :P

I know most of the paths I just haven't tried them (other then vale and chamber). Anyway hit me up and add me to friend list, if we get enough people we can make a small guild or something.

Would also like to do some bogrootSC and SoOSC later on. (only need like 3-4 permas for bogroots and no cons required)

I havemet very similar sytuation today on FoW SC. I have ben playing GW since few years and I used to play vale necro in UW SC. But i joined FoW party as a Necro MoP first time ever. Of course when some party members realized i am not sure what to do ( I was thinking warrior is a caller not me) started to call me NOOB and many many worse words. When some other party members said to calm down they also has been called noob etc or even they heard to stfu or leave. We have finished FoW SC in about 45 minutes and all was fine except that behaviour of "pr0" players who realized some newbie was in a party. Very sad..
