Question Behemoth hide farming

Hey I just started farming behemoth hides for gifts of the traveler, I was wondering where would I aquire more hides in a shorter amount of time. Vehjin Mines or outside Dzagonur Bastion. Im farming with my 600/smite team and if anyone has questions about it just ask me.

Vehjin definitely has closer more packed groups.

Another area is outside of Yahnur Market, there's about 7+ groups not too far away.

Btw, check the traveler thread before making one,

Outside of Dzagonur Bastion only has 3 groups of 3. Vehjin Mines is definitely faster. There's probably about 6-7 groups of 2-5 close to the entrance of Holdings of Chokhin, I cleared all the mobs near the entrance, zoned in and out Holdings of Chokhin and farmed more.

Does bringing Heroes and Henchmen lower the drop rate? I could kill these guys easily with my heroes, but I got popped trying to solo these guys.

Anet have said that loot scaling means going h/h will net you similair amounts of collectable items as solo farming but my personal experience dictates otherwise

They didn't say that.

The answer to these problems was to somewhat scale loot according to party size, to bring the direct gold rewards from solo farming more into line with the rewards from other ways of playing the game. But we still wanted solo farmers to have an edge, since solo farming can be a fun way to play and a major reason why people engage in solo farming is to make more money. So we kept the direct gold rewards somewhat better for solo farmer than for people in parties, -snip-

How does loot scaling work?

Without loot scaling, solo farmers received every loot drop, whereas people who played in a party received only a fraction of loot drops. Thus, solo farmers received up to eight times as much loot for killing the same group of monsters. With loot scaling in place, solo farmers still get more loot than people who play in parties, but the gap is less severe than it was before.

Solo farming has always been better then farming with a full group.

Go out solo and kill things one by one slowly and you will get every drop with no scaling. Use fast kill techniques, typical in farming, and will get little. Even if you are with a full party of players, rate of kill will reduce everyone's drops.
