Default ectos

My ? is this, I have spent hours in the uw and have 2 ectos to show for it. Do you have to do the missions to get ecto drops or does it matter. All I take is my hero's with me figureing this would increase my chances of them dropping. Please if you can help me it would be very appreciated. Thank you

The drop rates only applies with real players. If you have a henchie or hero with you, you get less drops.

Id suggest visiting wiki and looking up ectos then seeing whoch foes in uw/topk drop them.
Also the drop rate is 2% on a few foes and 4% on others - aatxes and dryders are 4% and smite crawlers are 2%.
Also incase no1 has mentioned - ectos are not a 100% drop every time in uw - some players can get zero ectos for several runs and others may get like you 2 .
Its down to luck really if any drops for you on that run ( been plenty of .. " uw is nerfed coz i got no ectos " posts and its the same thing over and over , you just need to lol at them an hope you get some on next run.

Just find a UW run that has many foes that drop ectos. Choas planes is nice do to the huge number of ecto droppin foes. That run is usually good for 3-5 ecto and i have had as many as 9 in one run. But there are those wonderful runs of ZERO ecto.

Just be persistant.

I agree. If you have a Sin or a Necro learn how to do UWSC and you are always guaranteed one ecto per run and runs are pretty quick. That is the best way I have found to get ectos.

Try farming Tombs. I still get ecto from there. I usually do first level and the first half of the second. I tend to get a lot of black dyes as well.
