Lumps of Charcoal can be farmed in D'alessio seaboard by killing the Fire Imps.

Video link, farming as ranger: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tl7inTvKLOI

Can easily be done by a 55hp too.

Farming Raptor Nestlings with a Warrior will get plenty of Dyes, more than trying to farm Dyes in Pre-Searing.

Not only Granite Slabs, but Chitin Fragments from Devourers, Scales from the Gargoyles, and the Hulkings can also drop Lumps of Charcoal, Sapphires, and Rubies (Sapphs and Rubies are extremely rare drops from the poor HSE's)

Sorry for this but I really do not see any reason for this thread. There are already farming threads that are specifically targeted towards different types of farms. Greens, Materials, Dungeons, Specific Areas(UW, Raptors, etc). There are so many and this thread will not be detailed nor have any meaningful discussions and imputs from players using different professions. I doubt the usefulness of this thread unless there are many here who thinks differently. Just my personal opinion and not a flame.

Ok. Thanks for your opinion. My idea when creating this thread was to have info on how to farm anything. Yes eventually I'll add some links to other guru farming guides/pxv builds/etc. I'll polish this thread up to make it more detailed, but for the moment it'll stay the way it is. Just to tell you and everyone else out there, this is a farming thread! I don't see why you post your comments. They are fine and all but why do you need to post 'em'? I realize you people don't think my post is needed but please try and keep your comments to yourself or PM me. I am also trying to get some good rep and encouragement so posting farming threads in Guru will help me achieve that. And honestly, if you think this thread should be gone, just PM a moderator.

No offense to anyone but let's keep the farming thread directed to farming. Thanks.

ok, got a lot, all got a quick description

all eternal weapons drop in UW, and eternal blade only from UW end chest.
so UWSC for that.
obsidian edge is FoW end chest, FoWSC
almost all monsters drop ruby's and shaphires.
best way is to do the quest for trade contacts, or UWSC/FoWSC and get them from end chest.

monk tomes, and some other normal tomes, go to snowmans lair, as perma sin with sliver and farm there.
crystalline swords drop from quest completion chests in FoW, UW and sorrows furnace only purple.
gold ones are from hall of heroes chest, thats PvP

dust, look here:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10311416

most dungeons got a SC version, so look on the wiki pages of the dungeons for the high end drops, and watch pvx for the SC build

Monstrous Fang--You can farm it with a SF assassin and on the bog skales outside of LA.

Build:
A/E
Glyph of Swiftness~Deadly Paradox~Shadow Form~Glyph of Lesser Energy~Radiation field~Viper's Defense~Dark Escape~Dash

OR:

Glyph of Swiftness~Deadly Paradox~Shadow Form~Glyph of Lesser Energy~Radiation field~LoD~Dark Escape~Dash

To allow a faster degen, at least R3 Asuran and Delmore is recommended, and bring a scythe, since you will probably run into a bit of energy problems. The DE + dash is for a faster run to the portal north of the skales. Have at least 50 energy.

Spiritwood Planks and rare Canthan weapons (Dragon Scythes, Echovald Shields, Gothic Axes, etc.)
Dragon Moss outside Saint Anjeka's shrine with some quest, forget name

R/Rt
12+3+1 Wilderness
12 Restoration

Dwarven Stability
Dryder's Defense
Vengeful Was Khanhei
Vengeful Weapon
"I Am Unstoppable!"
Storm Chaser
Quickening Zephyr
last slot doesn't really matter

Aggro all the moss with Dryder's; pull to shrine so they are higher than you and can only wand you (similar to ice imps), and kill with VmK (turn Dryder's off with Storm Chaser).

Jadeite Shard - Mount Qinkai Speed Clear(MQSC)

Simple turn your faction into jade after doing a few runs. MQSC can easily net 10+ jade per hour.

Other bonuses: Jade weapons can be salvaged to dust, yeti run can net several golds+tomes+fur, and there are locked chests to open. Naga run can net a few scales + monstrous mats. Wallow run can also net some monstrous mats.

Other possibilities for Jade: Anything that nets luxon faction (ab, fa, etc), very rare chance of jade from jade weapons

Raptor run - W/N raptor run can net a lot of items on this list. Such as:
  • Lots of Dye
  • Assassin Tomes
  • Elite Assassin Tomes
  • Golds
  • Dust (from great conch)
  • Iron + Wood (other weapons)
  • Axe+Sword+Dagger+Bow+Shield Mods
  • Exp Scrolls
  • FoW/UW Scrolls
  • Event Items
Elite Tomes - Hard Mode Chest runs can easily net you some Elite Tomes if you need to get your luck/unlucky titles up to.

Most of my farming is done with my rit these days.

I dunno about nahpui, but I farm feathers in NM outside of Seaboard. Get about 60 per run, including salvaged scalps.

Same goes for granite and charcoal -- farm the elementals in HM outside of Sardelac.

Would imagine silk could be farmed the same way, since I run solo vanquishes of the Plains of Jarin on my rit and get buttloads of spider webs.

This uses the build found here: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...&postcount=172

I use the Stygian doa trapper build for holiday treats, xp, regular necro tomes, and lightbringer points. Plus you can get Stygian gems this way. I bring two heroes with me to add traps and flag them away before I kill the stygians.

Here is a recent guide that does it with heroes almost like I do. I just did two runs on my ranger to make sure it still works and I got a gem each time.

i farm the spider cave in FOW for obbi shards but also kill the driftwood on the beach and get anywhere from 50-100 plant fibers a run by salvaging the seeds they drop.
this is the build i use. it can be done in NM or HM with no real difference but you will need a cupcake or rock candy to give you a speed boost at the beginning or the shadow warriors will kill you with hundred blades
- Glyph of Swiftness
- Deadly Paradox
- Shadow Form {E}
- Glyph of Lesser Energy
- Ebon Battle Standard of Honor
- Sliver Armor
- "By Ural's Hammer!"
- Death's Charge
