My friend says you can 105 the underworld with this
protective spirit
healing breeze
shield of absorption
shielding hands
spell breaker
blessed signet
balthazars spirit
blesed aura

I havnt tried, cause I only have 1k, and id rather not waste it.

But can you really solo the UW at all with this build?
I'm new-ish to monking by the way

Hey lighten up...

What they are trying to say, is that the build does no damage. It absorbs damage and holds the aggro. There is another member in the party that does the damage through a skill called Spiteful Spirit. The monks sits there and cannot die. Another way, as mentioned above is to have a smite hero or person to enchant for damage.

you cant take a smiter with that build...

if you read closely, that tricky first line says 105, i'm going to assume he means thats his health, which if he takes a smiter along, he wont be doing shit for damage....

take out spell breaker for spiteful spirit, or sheild of judgement etc... you need at least 1 decent damage skill on your bar

@OP- That build is for doing 2 man smite runs with a SS necro (hence the complete lack of damage output).

Just a bit of advice as well: try a solo build (assuming you want a solo build) against the Trolls outside of Droknar's before possibly wasting 1k in UW, as UW is not at all friendly to the unexperienced non-assassin.

Take out Spell Breaker and the Dying Nightmares strip all your prot. This build is a very fast way to lose 1k

monks cant solo the uw. the only real damage you can churn out as a 55/105 is using Shield of Judgement. But if u take that, u have to say goodbye to spellbreaker, hello to rend enchantments and hello to death. If ur looking for an effective monk farm in the uw, theres only 2, and both are 2 man. 55/SS necro and 600/smite duo. thats the bottom line.

If you're wanting to solo going 55/105 just....

1# a speed boost skill (like Dash) or a consumable that gives you a speed

2# put up a bunch of the enchantments

3# lure and then run away with your speed skill (if you're using one)

4# the Nightmare should rend you as you run off and go *POP*

5# repeat to all groups with Nightmares, though best to avoid the groups with Grasping Darknesses.

Recall seeing some 55 Monks doing this back in 2005 after they added them.

That is not entirely correct.

I have solo'ed UW with my 55monk many times. I use the Mo/W build on PvX. Not the fastest build out there but it works. When you aggro Ataxxes and DN pops up you go hide behind One of the ghosts (i forget the name) standing at the spawn point once the DN pops you re-enchant and slaughter the Ataxxes.

I know only one working solo build for a monk in UW: Spirit spammer build. I've tried it 2 times and i managed to clear the entire Ice Wastes. I got like 3-4 ectos, but then i decided to leave because it took me an hour or so,and i got tired. So i don't know if you can solo any other places in UW. If you're patient and smart, i think that you can solo pretty much eveything , though completing the quests is i think pretty impossible.

No you cannot. You need a smiter to deal damage.
