Default A/E but this is am Assassin , not an elementalist in disquise ;)

I tried out this perma thing some reascently and its kinda cool but it sort of bugged me that the only thing from the assasin is basically shadow form and Deadly Paradox.

Also I was hellbent on teaching those fellow sins outside Senjis Corner (yes the vermins) a lession. Old grudges die hard especially if the opponent is the same profession

Anyway I came up with two builds in the end. One for the vermins and one that works well for farming graps and stuff in UW.

Both were matched in hardmode:

----Vermins HM-----------------------------------------------
Way of the Impaling lotus
(DP, GoS, SF) +Sharpen Daggers, Golden Lotus Strike, Fox Fang, Death Blossom, Impale
-Shadow Arts 16, Dagger Mastery 13, and Deadly Arts 11

Use enchantment prolonging dagger if you want some margin for renewing SF. I swapped to Shiros Blades as soon as the fight starts for the life-stealing and the cool looks.

This is very slow beating their heart of shadow and probably not going to be used to solo them for profit. If you go out in a pair they die like flyes though.
-------------------------------------------------------------

----UW Graspings&Nightmares n other HM--------------------------
Way of the Lotus
(DP, GoS, SF) +Golden Lotus, Fox Fangs, Death Blossom, Heart Of Shadow, Dark Escape
-Shadow Art 16, Dagger Mastery 15, the rest on deadly arts

Blossom and your continuing strikes (prevents regen) is what hurts them. Heart of Shadow and Dark escape is there to bale you out if you get boxed in between Aatxes, or accidentally hits one giving you a draining condition. Don't panic keep your guard up the drain will end in time after you healed with your shadow step.

I have found this to be slightly faster than the earth and fire options for graspings. I might be misstaken for subjective mind here.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

-The Golden Lotus is your energy. Before you get used to how your energy clocks start and END your attack sequence with it.

-(Since there is no attribute in Air Magic you only have 1 next skill that recharges faster. Glyph of Swiftness has to come after you press Paradox or you will burn its effect on that skill.) -This statement is incorrect as pointed out by replies below!-/edit

-In the later build you only have 7 seconds of Paradox. Do not press it to early!

Code for the lazy:

Way Of The Lotus: OwZT0Z/85RnJ95RIwGoAkhdwAA
Way Of The Impaling Lotus: OwZT0VP+5RnJ95ReOBID7glABA

Signed.

I believe that is incorrect, GoS works on the next skill and DP is a stance, therefore they don't interfere, I cast them both ways at times and have no problem.

As for your builds I will have to try them out, thanks for the info!

most of these a/e permas use some air magic attribute which gives the glyph:
"Your next 2 skill" recharge faster.

In this build you have "your next 1 skill"

Thats why I figured. If Paradox doesn't count as a skill then sure. I haven't even contemplated that lol.

"For 15 seconds, your next 1...3 Spells recharge 25% faster, and projectiles from those spells move 200% faster."

sektor is correct. Interesting builds though, I'll have to give em a try.

it does look interesting but killing stuff with daggers is just so slow. and the OP is wrong about the glyph, the glyph of swiftness only affect spells this DP is not affected because its stance

I propose the following change to your UW build...

Change your lead attack to [Desperate Strike]

and change your Offhand to [Lotus Strike]

That way you can let SF go down before aggro and Desperate strike will be uber. Also, The energy gain from Lotus Strike at 15 Dagger mastery is +10 (costs 10 you gain 20)

That way, you'll spend 5 on Desperate Stirke, 10 on Louts Strike (gaining 20) and then 5 on Death Blossom. Notice that the net energy her is zero, leaving you with plenty of energy leftover for your Shadow form sequence plus whatever else you may need to cast.

The only disadvantage I can see to this change is that our offhand now has a 12 sec recharge rather than 10, which slows you down a bit... but I'm thinking the massive dmg from Desperate Strike will make up for that, especially since it has a recharge of 6 secs, meaning you could use it twice in that time.

Good hunting...

Very interesting!

I'll be sure to try it.

You know the fact that you showed two energy gaining attack with daggermastery leads me to wonder if there can be some combination for a more energy costly but perhaps even more deadly skill. Either ele or sin.

Golden Lotus, Lotus, + BIG BADABOOM type ?

Dunno about that... generally Death Blossom is far superior to any other non-elite Dual attack in existence, though some do offer extras like deep wound. Dmg + Deep wound is a hell of a spike, so for a single target that could be effective. For farming (or general PvE) I'd say death blossum is the way to go. If you had plenty of energy though, you could try using [Repeating Strike] instead of a dual attack, though something tells me Death Blossom is still better.

If there is a way to copy/paste that from game to here I haven't figured it out! I had to handwrite this down and I'm not 100% I didn't miss a digit.

Hope its right:
Way Of The Lotus
OwZTOZ/85RnJ95RIwGoAkhdwAA

I'm not doing the other one. Other people are lazy to you know
--------

Cpt Buldozer:

It worked with replaceing something else like HoS or Sprint. Pretty effective but I haven't concluded if it beats Impale.

Doing it with impale by replacing sharpen dagger might be the way though.
GLotus, Lotus, Repeating Srtike, Fox Fang, Death Blossom.
edit
err: I wasn't counting the skills right. only five slots left. You'd need to keep up with only one energy skill for that combo /edit-

I think you might need to have more attunement runes on than my 30energy so that the lotuses don't clock the roof though?

Thnx for the ideas !

If anyone has tested any of these builds in practice I'd like to hear what you think btw.

I'm more happy that I came up with somehting that works, and probably not objective enough to tell how well it does or not comparatively. I'm more having fun than maxfarming perpective.

But it won't let me copy in game. righclick doesn't give a copy option. You mean like find the folder where it saves out of game?

edit:

Actually we shouldn't have a "Teach noob Morven how the game works" tutorial here. lol PM me instead /edit

They just nerfed Shadow Form to 22 clock 45 at shadow art 16!

so now the need for any sequence to work will need to generate energy fast since you'll be burning 3 skills twice as fast.

Probably means you won't be able to keep up a seuence strong enough to beat Vermins at all in hardmode from this build. If it can be done it will probably involve Golden Lotus and Lotus + at least 35 max energy.

Personally I think the perma build is dead as a solo farming build but still will be a viable duo tank ? Probably how they wante it. they could have killed the perma seguence completely if they wanted.

Ah well thank you goodnight

Not nerfed for daggers as long as you use 3 superior runes. Dagger, Crit and Shadow. A good attack chain will not require energy management with zealous daggers and IAS.

5 Energy - That's all the extra energy you have to power your skills. Basically with a 4 energy regen you only have enough time to gain 35 energy by the time Shadow Form ends. How much energy you have doesn't matter in the slightest as the regen rate determines if Shadow Form can be kept up permanently or not. There are really only two options available for the solo sin farmer. One is to use Glyph of Lesser Energy to power 2-10 energy spells. The other is use to the energy dagger skills for the assassin.

They also buried in a 33% damage reduction while under Shadow Form. Even if you use daggers the damage isn't going to be all that spectacular. And yes the damage reduction even affects indirect damage.

Just updating this with working options after the nerf for vermins & raptors HM.

Raptors:
XXX + Expose defence, Golden Lotus, Lotus, Death Blossom, Vipers Defence
-Not a winning strategy compared to the standard raptor farming builds but a fun option)
-note if they block you die from energy exhaustion hense the ecpose

Vermins:
XXX + Sharpen Dagger, Golden Lotus, Lotus, Death Blossom, Vipers Defence
-bleed and poison stacked beats them shadow step heals enough to blossom it to death
-most of the time you have enough energy and time to kick in a last Golden before you renew your cycle.
-Fight in as open areas as you can or you may be delayed with your attack from being blocked out by the other vermins.

Cheers!

Use golden fox strike - DB = Radiation Field Then vipers defense when fighting graspings. Zealous daggers are you energy management and degen kills AAtaxes= Ectos. If faced with just aataxe use zealos spear and degen
