Smile Solo Island Guardian 30 Second Kill (Any Class)

Just thought I would post a build to farm your own guardian moss, for those having a hard time farming there own. ( or buying )

This takes 30 seconds going out, killing it, and zoning back in.

Don't think this has been posted anywhere else, if it has feel free to delete.

First you will need the skills, other than the elite spirits, the other 3 aren't really important which you post, but i had to choose low energy one's since I'm a warrior.

You will need 3 pve skills
Summon Spirits
By Ulra's hammer
Pain Inverter

The place to do this is right outside Eredon Terrace

First thing you will need to do is summon all your spirits right outside the portal.

Then click on the island guardian , and walk right to the edge of his aggro circle.

Then use your 3 pve skills in order. (6,7,8 for me)

This will make him take a 700damage spike, killing him right away.

If for some reason he doesn't die( sometimes SoJ doesn't hit one of the spirits) he will follow it up with spear of light, which will finish him off.

Getting the guardian moss might still be a long process since they have a very low drop rate( probably about 2% )

Luxon priest will heal to pick up the drop, just be careful with the rot wallows because they kd a lot.

This can also be done in HM.

Am I going to have to say that this is exactly the spirit spam farmer?
Yep, looks like it, this is close and looks a lot like it. The plus is you found a good place to farm the islands because of the priests

Its not exactly the spirit spammer build. One could use any spirits, including those that dont do damage (would work with ranger spirits too I guess, but they have longer activation times). It relies on Pain Inverter+Bodies+SoJ and kills instantly. Worked perfectly for me (in HM).

But the drops rates are annoying . I'll have to see what I'm gonna do with all that spirit wood.

I am with the belief that drops are constrained on the first few minutes of entering a map. I am getting nothing here

4/10

It's just a regular spirit spam build. No big deal.

This actually does not use spirt's to do damage, they are just there to take damage and multiply the damage done by pain inverter.
this can be done by henchmen, by just balling them up, but they make drops happen even less

Stop trying to knock down his idea. The principle here is to use spirits to trigger PI on SoJ, not attacking with them. Can you kill an island guardian in one single spike with a normal SS build? No. Then stop being elitist jerks.

you shouldnt try to be a knowitall without testing

I did farm my mosses with an ss build this week, and I can say without a doubt I couldn't kill monters with a single spike. I still believe his build is a good idea, faster than spirit spammer.

The point remains that the build is clearly not just a spirit spammer build. It's a really cute idea, imo.

a friend and i used a build exactly like this using the idea of Pain Inverter and it worked like a charm... still took us four hours to get the moss but at least it was efficient in killing them opposed to Mo/P 600.

Very true - I proved this farming zarnas and craw. There was a thread with *TONS* of details, but it was *DELETED*.

That's all I really want to say. It was pretty cut and dry - killing ~10 before you started farming bosses resulted in ~83% drop rates (greens/tomes) - not killing those 10 resulted in about 16% drop rates from both bosses...

Killing those 10 only increase the run time from 4 to 6 minutes...

Umm even as a d/rit with using boosts it takes time... not like how this would... this is auto spike kill. If a rot wallow steps infront of the gaurdian.. then spirits target the gaurdian... which in most cases is what happens. Also note the location of where the farm is where the point is a quick 1 min farm outside an outpost... not an area farm.

If you have the kill in faster then this pi idea... then post it for the community to see. Otherwise you fail to answer the question of a faster kill.

For those saying that this is spirit spammer, this build is somewhat deviated. Its actually using the spirits to get hit by the signet the guardian pretty much uses first. triggering PI for a huge amount of damage

Nice addition, ParkingPermit. Worked like a charm for me, and the farming place was so convenient.

at first I was going to post something along the lines of, anyone who modifies 1 or 2 skills from spirit spammer doesn't necessarily warrant claiming to have invented a new form of farming....sort of post

but I have to give it to the OP, the mechanic is entirely different, and kudos for that. They could all be defensive spirits for this matter, or ranger spirits, or whatever. It's a different mechanic, and this concept could be utilized in other farms where the target has aoe.

Too bad I already farmed the mosses for my 2 accts, it didn't really take that long.
