Default Raven's SC is it viable?

Ok so I have come across and been a part of this "Raven's Point HM SC" where 8 permas saunter through the dungeon using set of bu's. I inquired into the time details (given by guilds that advertise "Raven's SC") and found that this sc takes roughly about 30mins. Here's my question: If a "SC" with use of cons, take longer than a "hero team"(in this case being 3ppl and 5 heros) run, does it still count as a "SC"?As most have found out a SoS rit build works wonders, using it in conjunction with discords and a perma tank, imo is amazing. Most anything in the game can be easily hurried through where a perma is able to tank. Throw in another ranged character and u have a 3 man/woman team that can clear most dungeons faster and easier than most "SC's" without the use of cons. So having said that, Does a 3 man/woman team with 5 heros count as a "SC"?Please feel free to comment on your opinion. Just as I not I am not trying to discredit the "SC" as I enojoy several of them. I am merely wondering if this counts as a speed clear or what does not count as a speed clear.

i did raven's 2 players heroway. we pretty much tore it up. it's a relatively short dungeon with easy mobs. but i can't see why you'd want to speedclear, there's no nice drops.

im guessing the speedclear would be for the chance of an eaglecrest axe from the end chest...probably more valuable than a Voltaic spear, not to everyones taste but still

I've been in the process of creating a SC for it about 1 year ago. Dual perma is good, no backtracking needed in 2nd (if im correct) level. secondary perma just acts as a doorman. Shitty thing about it is that there are lots of signets and IW in here, so you need a pretty good perma to do that without cons.
Boss fight is pretty hard this way though, need good aggro control if you want to spike them, and there are popups pretty much everywhere. And the lovely plague has that explode corps skill which pretty much kills a perma in 1 go (unless bonded up, which costs another char).
Believe we managed a pretty good run which took about (i believe, long time ago) 20 min total dungeon time, with a pretty bad build and lots of things went wrong.
But THE biggest no-go on this SC is that its a pretty easily discorded dungeon. Just 2 people with good discord heroes can clear it with ease in that time, or even faster. Eaglescrest axes are worth alot, and afaik dual discord is the best way to go, unless you have a great build (100b wasnt there) with good players who can perfect this...

Huge wall of text.

lol, wouldn't consider something a speed clear if u can do it just as easily and quickly with normal team. waste of cons

So far farming Ravens we have only gotten 2 eaglecrest axes(r9 sold ig 275e and r10 sold ig 110e), but we have had several wingcrest mauls drop(r9s sold ig 70-75k) making it one on the nicest side drops outside of Frostmaws.

But people don't (and can't?) yet do FrostmawSC or is there already a Speedclear for Frostmaw too?

From my understanding there are some "Frostmaw's SCs" out there, but I am not aware of what they consist of. We run it pretty much the same as Raven's only replacing 2 discord heros with 2 roj heros and times have ranged from 29mins-37mins. Minus the fact the perma uses a red rock candy on lvl 4 no cons are used, making a "sc" pointless imo, for Frostmaws.

frostmaw SC is pretty much 1-2 permas and 6-7 RoJers, could probably do it with 8 permas, and frostmaw is killed by leading into rolling ball of insta-kill.

Like I said in my original post.....I am not trying to discredit the SC...I enjoy several of them. I was simply applying a question to a specific area. If u took offense to it sry...it was not intended to do that. But if your trolling....so be it. Maybe working on more SC's would be a better outlet for your time. Thanks and take care!

Frostmaws can be definitely be done duo, probably solo also. There is a trick with the doors to skip some bits.

Frostmaws=a balanced SC team can do it in 22 mins, or you can run a ful 8 man sin team and do it in 13. Your pick. Both teams take Essences.

I think we'd be curious to see how we can shave 7 minutes off our time. I can't imagine just throwing a celerity or 2 at it would drop it by that much.

If you care to try it out, pm us at DPR in game: Jk Arrow Blizzard

How fast does something need to be before it is considered a "SC"? In my opinion, under 30 mins for a 5 lvl dungeon in HM is pretty quick but our method is not the typical "SC" method of a bunch of permas using cons...

Is the definition of a "SC" the currently fastest meta available using any and all cons?

From my understanding when I was in SCAR we came up with a fairly balanced build which consisted of only 1 sin+damage dealers. You use 5 essences total, 1 per floor, and everyone uses their own personal cons if they wanted to. Fastest run I've ever tanked was 22, 2nd fastest was 23 mins start to finish. I assume we came up with the build since I have only seen people running through the dungeon is over 30 mins. Next time I put a run together I'll save you a spot so you can see for yourself.

As for the 8 sin method, icU came up with that as that is what they have been running. But they just run and kill what they need to.

We in [OhNo] kill essentially everything in our way. As for the defination of SC, as long as it is as fast as possible, i believe that is the definition of a Speed Clear. Cons or not.
