Default Old player trying to start again: Duo farms?

Hey,
I haven't played for like, 1-2 years now and logged on yesterday to play some. Went to UW with my 55hp monk and my friend as a SS necro. And well, no suprise to you (I think) we got raped by some skeletons. So my question to you is:
are there some viable duo builds for UW nowadays?
Or just some other viable duo farms you could tell me about?

Tried to google / search here but only found posts / sites from like 2005 (my search-foo is seriously lacking I think). Thanks for your time and hopefully responses.

Cheers, CoolerMcCool

Edit: Forgot to mention I'm mostly looking for duo farms to do with a friend of mine. Solo farms is too boring (being there all lone :/) in my opinion and I don't really like group things (strangers </3).

Oh, thanks! Checked it out, seems decent enough, is it possible to change out the smiter to a SS necro or is that not possible?

It's entirely possible, I believe, but I am not sure if it would be better, worse, or about the same.

I can say for certain that 600/ss is much faster for farming uw, but it requires a very good monk. This takes advantage of monster AI in normal mode not to scatter, hence the monk can take huge aggroes, and the ss blows them up very quickly. SS is also much much faster at taking down things in wastes, especially coldfires. It is also faster at killing dryders. Normal mode has equal ecto drop rates, so the only thing you are losing by not doing HM is extra weapon drops, xp, and locked chests.

smites have Smite Hex, how would SS cope with that?

They use Suffering, another AoE hex, or SV/AV like the old 55/SS duo used to do.

Well, thanks all for your replies. Tried the 600hp monk and my friend seems happy with the smiter so it's all good and it's going well, as easy as the old 55hp and about the same speed. Only thing is those pesky Coldfire Nights, take ages to kill but they can mostly be avoided.
Is there another viable dual farm at some other place with decent drops?

Alternatively you can both go /Rt and spam spirits-

One of you use Communing line of spirits, other Channeling. With about 10 spirits in the field you can make as many mistakes as you like, and make a living on ectos and dust =)

400/SS works fine. just play like a 600 except with slightly lower health and bring armor sets to switch between.

You can also try 600/smiting the FoW, shadow army and skeleton armies works fine.
