They drop like 15 skulls every run (1 run = 2-3 minutes)

You can trade them in Ascalon for Sweets/Party/Booze
How are you getting 15 skulls in one run? I get only around 4 a run. Is there a specific path you take?

Agree with the snowball dominance sugestion.

I run my rit with Livia as hero and use similar tactics as Ze Man. Before the other team turns hostile, cast jack frost in front of Staci and run back. Jack frost will make the opponents use ice fort immediately. After the jack frost dies and the enemies ball up, send in Livia to holiday blues the balled up enemies. Jack frost makes the enemies use ice fort and livia makes them use mmm snowcone early, so your allies can really do some damage. Very often i end up with lots of allies still alive and ~2-3min run.

Based on what I see in EoTN, lots of people like to run primary rangers for this quest too.

Gargoyles outside of nolani gets my second vote. I run N/P AoTL minion master with "fall back", snow storm and putrid explosion, and feel no pain for some regen. I run through the temple, north to where the charr spawn, clean out the gargoyles up there then turn back south towards the bridge with the storm riders. Takes 7-10 mins per run and an honest assessment of the yield is about 11 +/- 3 skulls, 2 +/- 1 stormy eye, 6 +/- 2 festival drops and a few ccs. It's not an "uberleet" farm based on some of what you'd read on these forums, but as many other folks here have probably noted, I think a lot of posters in the farming section 1. understate their time per run 2. exaggerate the drop rates.

I agree that times and amount stated as above - tho on a rare occasion like when a chrs been away from area for ages i have seen quite a few skulls drop.
Also once i had a prophs chr just out of pre and was after nick tiems when they were outside yaks bend and my wife was running me - she killed the gargoyles and weirdly i had around 15 but i put down to luck as i never repeated it on a low lvl prophs chr before.

Id say along with rest of guru members - if you state a run time or drop total have a screenie otherwise its not too believable ( sorry guys/girls ).

Btw Happy xmas all

I am sure you all can fill me in, but what is the advantage of getting 5 tonics and 10 candy canes compared to a W/N farming raptors? Also, is this quest repeatable? I would just like to know, thank you

Default My Wintersday Farms

I use my ele for farming wintersday stuff. There are 2 main farms I do: Grawl and Gargoyles. The grawl are the ones right outside of Ruins of Surmia.

12+3+1 earth, 9 Fire, 9+1 energy (just my default earth armor) with a Droknar's Earth Staff (or w/e you want, I just like the +20%ench)
My full bar is:
Stone Daggers
Stoneflesh
Shockwave
Sliver Armor
Flame Djinn's Haste
Elemental Lord
Aura of Restoration
Earth Attunement

Gather the first two groups right outside of the portal and use shockwave (u don't have to pre-cast the enchants yet, I'm not that patient ) Cast the enchants, move north and get the group or 2 right before the coliseum thing. Then gather all the grawl in or near the coliseum. This is where you need stoneflesh, there will be 20-30 of them. Run up to a group of healers and hit shockwave. Use stone daggers/sliver/djinn haste to mop up the stragglers. Move up and get the remaining 3-4 groups and you're done. Total time, 3 minutes, 5-8 necklaces per run. I've found that lots of dyes drop here, Black and White. I know what you may be thinking: killing one at a time gives more drops. Normally, I'd agree with you. I used to run Glyph of Renewal and Sliver, but I SWEAR this gives you more drops. I don't understand it, but there it is!

For Gargoyles, I use a E/Mo build
6 Air
12+3+1 earth
6+1 energy storage
10 Healing

Healing Breeze
Stoneflesh
Glyph of Renewal
Sliver Armor
Windborne Speed
Elemental Lord
Aura of Restoration
Balthazar's Spirit (optional)

Run to the first gargoyles, cast enchants (incl stoneflesh), gather up everything near the stairs (maybe 1 group by the bridge) and run up the stairs. Grab the boss' group, and run back down the stairs partway to stack them up. Run up to them, hit glyph and sliver, cast sliver again if needed. Run up the second set of stairs, gather everything, stack them in the doorway, repeat killing. Run down the stairs, into the room, back towards the stairs, turn left and gather everything up by the T-intersection. Repeat killing. That's as far as I go. Everything else is too spread out, IMO, it becomes more running than killing. Any speed boost will work, I like Windborne for the fast recharge.

There may be other builds out there, but these work for me. I like the Grawl farm better, because I'm impatient and can't stand snares! The gargoyle farm has the nice bennie of giving granite and scales, too, 1 or 2 at a time

Enjoy

I tried this for gargoyles and it worked like charm. Actually a uw smite build cut down.

W/Rt

Feel no pain
Vengeful was kahnei
Vengeful weapon
Sprint
Signet of stamina

I usually kill first two or three big groups than rezone. Skulls drop are 6-15, few (2-4 of each) festive items. Easy farm, good rewards for the time invested.
Tried with my ele too - just for fun and it`s hilarious when you ball them all up (10-15) and watch them all drop from just one meteor

Snowball Domination

Flurry of Ice on rangers works a treat and Holiday Blues is huge. You can also bring a pet, it won't attack but it does body block and absorb hits (better with Ice Breaker on). Runs are under 3 mins. Jack Frost though is often bugged and doesn't fire.

I have to agree with all the posts concerning Snowball Dominance.

You get:

10 Candy Shards
5 Frosty Tonics
500g
500 Vangaurd Points
5000xp

The quest takes me 3-4 min total. This includes completing the quest getting reward zone to GH then back again and retake.

Even better I now farm this quest on 2 accounts. Main is Necro and then ideally Ranger on alt for Flurry.

This means you actually get 20 Shards 10 Tonics and 1k gold. All for 3-4min work.

This quest would also be a brilliant way to get your Legendary Survivor. Just make sure you survive Charr Broiled Plans. 5kxp every few minutes is really gonna help

Can make a stack of ccs in about 30 minutes. Very easy farm. Can see this getting nerfed some time soon though. . .

oh come on, you can only get about 100 ccs in those 30 minutes, roughly a stack an hour.

So.. if you are running 2 accounts you can get 2 stacks every hour, but that's it.

Anyway, i'm having fun with the farm, making some "stash"

Im curious how anyone completes the SB dominance in 3-4 minutes? Ive tried this on several professions and havent had that luck (skill).

I had one run that took a couple minutes and have no idea what happened. Normally it seems my entire team gets just rolled. If someone was willing to throw me a bone on how to speed this quest up id be grateful.

Id give you my build to critique and improve ... but yea its the same as yours.

any help would be cool thanks !!

Bring a Necro hero, disable skills 1-5 on him/her, flag him into the opponents, as soon as they turn hostile make the Necro use Holiday Blues, Ice Fort and Mmm..Snowcone, he will die in a sec so don't worry about him, now just stand from afar spamming your Snowball skills. I've done 1 minute runs with this method with my Monk, it's faster with a Ranger. Also if you have any Mysterious Summoning Stones laying around, use them as they help ALOT.

How do people get the Necro hero to stand still so Ice Fort works? Whenever I try it, Olias runs off out of Ice Fort and dies, no matter what setting I have him on. This quest is pretty much the greatest thing ever though, I can do a run (quest, reward, re-quest) in about 2:20 max with a good partner. I've made 850k in 11 hours, and for the first time hit the 1 million mark.

It helps a lot when your necro hero survives a long time. He wont run out of the ice fort when u just target someone (rune trader) and micro him to throw snowballs at him. He will even kill one before you get there. After Ice Fort runs out, use snowcone and the opponent should be <40% now anyways. This way its possible to get <1min runs. (The character I was using was an Ele).

Here are some pics:

Note: I always flag my necro hero near the rune trader. (Left side a little behind him)
