Default Current mesmer farming builds?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some current 2009/2010 solo mesmer farms aside from raptors. I've tried UW builds posted by The.D0pefish but they appear to be obsolete now. I'm starting to get down on my mesmer and the lack of things to do, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Not really a whole lot to farm that's worthwhile that you'll be able to get into a group with. Raptors are good during events (I prefer normal mode just go x/w with hundred blades style build).

Best bet would be if you really want to make money to either run dungeons or get into an uwsc type build.

I've tried doing variations on the mes IW/terratank for UW but I can't make it to the smite crawlers, I always die less than halfway to them after clearing the chamber. Illusion of Haste expires in 11 seconds and cripples afterward, and the cast time required to maintain it without cripple means I'm always stopping to get pounded on by aataxes/grasping darknesses. Worst yet there's almost always a nightmare to disenchant and cripple me.

I've tried reading around various websites for anything that might work with a mes, but so far no luck other than a 55 variant that I can't use right now.

I'm not looking for UW exclusively so if anyone has a -current- (as in works the date this post was written) build for a decent farm I'd love you forever.

I am quite fond of mesmer 600. OQNEAooj8MdXpFVP42YDGBAXqPA will run CoF and Rragars quite easily. Although it requirees a secondary hero for SB. You may change out MoR for IAU for Oolas, put death nova or WoS in smite build for Bloodstone or pretty much mod it anyway you wish for a variety of choices. The 55 Atfh build still works as well and can be found on wiki.

2010 id say will need new farming builds - anets hitting sf and 600/smite so the 600 mes and mes smite bonders may have big problems.
There is tho still some farms doable - theres a me/rt feathers farm build for sensali in jaya bluffs - its a reversal of rt/me.
You could also for fun do a 55 me/mo and farm hulks in hm - note i said for fun but unsure due to 600/smite nerf what skills will also nerf 55`s.
Aother idea would be me/rt spirit spammer.

Hey, thanks for the info. I'm completely new to the 600 concept, but I read up on it on the wiki and bought a bunch of starter Ascalon armor, runes, etc., but I'm a little confused on the use of the hero. Should I take the second build listed on http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/600 for the hero, and do you have any advice for a novice?

Thanks again.

Edit: I tried going into CoF with OwUTMmGDZCNKioBcj43xeACslAA as my monk, but again I have no idea what the monk is supposed to do and I ended up being annihilated by the first small group of crypt banshees. I could stay alive a while, but VoR was always interrupted because I had no energy to maintain MoR and my healer was always hexed to death.

Help please.

Edit again: Okay, I switched my monk to OwQUQEH/YoEhEf5TedKinMlA and now I'm getting destroyed because I have no heals. What is the point of protective spirit and shield of absorption if they reduce damage so much that spirit bond doesn't trigger? Actually, trying -without- prot spirit and shield active STILL doesn't trigger spirit bond. I'm really at a loss for how this build works.

Yeah you have to use a smiter hero [OwQT44HDnghp8k4Lf0LkdCA] as well as a SB hero [OwgS0YITREGb+O2NRgyD6DAE] Sup smite and prot runes on smiter and sup divine rune on SB hero w/ 20%enchant weap.

Uhm... yeah, no offense but that SB build is not so good, it uses Spotless Soul instead of Mind (there are more hexes than conditions), and it doesn't make any use of Dwayna's Kiss in a condition/hex heavy area. I removed SB from it and put it on my smiter hero, added HB + heals and hex removals and that worked much better. The problem is it's still not a very good build (all three characters together) to deal with shock phantoms and phantoms in general. The phantoms target my heroes a lot even when I'm trying to be careful to keep them out of aggro range. If I go any further my heal hero won't do anything.

So far I've been pretty unimpressed with CoF, both in terms of speed and reward. It takes me 10+ minutes to get to the dining hall, another 5+ to kill everything there, and I haven't even gotten a single gold in 3 runs. Two superb char carvings for 15-20 minutes work a run... blech.

I can literally spend 1 minute 30 seconds on raptors and get 3 golds + a ton of holiday items, tomes, lockpicks, etc..

I really appreciate that you took the time to suggest this build but I don't think it's very lucrative and I can't see the worth in taking so much time for so little payoff.

Does anyone else have any suggestions for mesmer farms?

Hey guys, I did some YouTube searching and found a really quick, really rewarding Rilohn Refuge farm perfect for mesmers.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaA4LLe91Zg

Dash, Dark Escape, Shadow Of Haste, Feigned Neutrality, Arcane Echo, Visions of Regret, and two optionals. I chose to take Empathy combined with VoR on Fastfoot for a slightly quicker take-down. The guy in the video is using Wastrel's and Cry of Pain for some bizarre reason, but they're completely unnecessary. Even FN is unnecessary, so there can be 3 empty slots for this build with no penalty. I'm loving it.

I don't think you understand that is is a support hero only. The SB hero simply casts SB on the 600 tank and thats about it. The rest of the time it hangs outside of aggro and maybe heals the smiter. By the time SB wears off of you all foes should be dead so, you shouldn't have any problems with hexes. Spotless Soul is to get rid of cripple and or bleeding. But of courese you may use whatever u like. I use those builds to run CoF and Rragars faster than monks on my mesmer and they work fine for me.

The Rt/Me VwK build can be done as Me/Rt easily, which is useful for places like farming Luxons and such.

Can farm stuff like hulking stones and kirins as a Me/E easily too, and like every profession you can just farm with spirits.

Those are off the top of my head - there's likely much more.

The cof run is sometimes done as a runner - you take 5 paying customers .
Raptors may seem good on paper but after a while it gets boring and the drops decrease to whites.Raptors these days i feel is mainly for gaining asuran rep , the old days all the sins would be doing vaettires and ice imps/minatours outside olafstead with kegs - mega rep and i found better drops than vaetires but sadly anet in their infinite wisdom put a stop to that.

You're welcome, but there's even better news - the build is improved significantly from that in the video. See: http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:Me/A..._Refuge_Farmer
