Well thanks for the ideas, i might try the splinter weapon technique. You dont need to keep destruction alive, just have it alive while u cast shadow form and spirit siphon.

The porblem with this build has been mentioned already. Once you put up your spirit for the combo ghostly haste, paradox and SF to work, it will draw all damage including AoE. This will kill the spirit extremely fast in HM and also yourself. Your spirit is dead before you manage to cast paradox let alone SF.

Besides their are better alternatives to this build, until the next skill update at least

Tried it > doesn't work > end of discussion

Good job completely ignoring my post. Gaze of fury could be used to keep a spirit alive constantly outside of the danger zone of enemies.

Try it again, can work but is slow, end of discussion? not really

What are the pros compared to the standard a/e and a/me?

If you want try something ok, but i don't see this being anything near as good as the alternative.

You need :

DP
SF
Desctruction
Gaze of fury
Ghostly haste to stay alive

To stay alive.

Alternative need only
DP
SF
Archana echo / swiftness to do the same.

If for any reason the spirit die you do too.

Spliter weapon damage output will slow down when there is only 1-2 foe alive

etc.

The build cannot replace anything in a FoWSc, Dayway, SoOSc.
Raptor farm? i don't see how this can work, raptor will kill the spirit during the aggro phase.

Green farming? Silver armor just outperform it.

The biggest problem is simple anyway :
If you need AoE to kill mobs you need to use the wall trick to avoid scatter. That can be tricky if you have to think of the well being of the spirit too

it should be a good idea if rits had some usefull skills for SF sin...

so i wouls say, instead of trying to make new SF builds, you should make some builds to farm WITHOUT SF, cause its gonne be nerfed like hell... probably not just a few seconds less but a whole other thing...

but the answer on your question: i should use the optional for 3 spirits (vamprism/pain/destruction) they will kill the stuff and when 1 of em dies, you
stil got the other one.

or as other people already told, using spirit weapon...

Why can't you just use essence of celerity and then just DP and SF? then no spirits needs to be taken care of

I did read your post and I WILL try again: It still wont work since Ghostly haste only works within earshot of a spirit.
Eashot is equal to the aggro bubble (Earshot), therefore if you want to be able to use Ghostly haste your spirit will draw all the enemy fire and die.

Thus: Gaze of fury will not help you out here.

Well i dont need the spirit to stay alive...

i just use it for the 2 seconds that i need to cast shadow form and spirit siphon....

Ive tested it in UW on HM and the spirit stays alive long enough. So, i have energy management, and perma sf. I need damage with the 3 slots left...

And once SF gets nerfed, chances are they're gonna nerf glyph of swiftness next... or arcane echo. So, when perma is impossible with a, a/e or a/me we have this build.

So.. you're saying when SF gets nerfed, a/rt can still perma?

Not sure I've heard too many people complaining about GoS or arcane echo being overpowered..

EDIT: asuran scan, ebsoh, crit agility/i am the strongest/dodge this/splinter weapon.. lots of (not so awesome) possibilities.

That said, kudos on thinking a bit outside the box.

the skill the nerf is targetting is shadowform, there is no point trying to think of another alternate perma sf using sf

Have you ever seen anyone use glyph of swiftness in pve? No. They have already nerfed shadow form twice, they might as well remove it from the game if they're gonna nerf it again..

Nope, from said clearly that they will rework shadow form itself. And by rework probably change the skill completely.

GoS is used alot in tank'n spank groups and for E/ME solo farmers. Its a staple on the majority of OF tank builds. So.. pretty safe to say its used a fair bit in PvE.

Is it used in any pve except FARMERS? GoS is used to keep Sf, Mist, Obsidian Flesh and every other good farmer skill. A nerf to GoS would take out all the OP'd farming builds, just like that.

GoS is not a bad skill, it have its uses. But its pointless, if you think they will nerf GoS leaving Shadow form untoched you are wrong.

Devs clearly stated that Shadow form will get reworked. AKA changed to a completely different skill.

It's relatively slow when compared to sin SC, usually uses teams of 8, and requires coordination.

Nerfing GoS would hurt general PvE. GoS is not used to maintain SF in the targeted SC groups. Essence of celerity is.

Arcane echo is in no way OP.. PvE teams often employ nukers that use it effectively.

Shadowform is OP. Shadowform gets the nerf. When it does, none of this will matter.

It's a dead horse.. no use flogging it.

it could be worth looking at a two man team, if they dont completely change sf, with this build
