when we went as 6 warriors, we had one take eoe, and when killing them really fast, that helped a bit.

Another thing I did now, is drop shields up for sun and moon slash. it make me heal a bit more for the damage taken when using the sig, but with 5 attack skills, it might be worth it...

hmm, but would this eoe damage interupt healing spring?, if not, then like foo said, it would be useless

but to the above comment, i dunno about that, using healing signet alot makes the time go out longer in clearing the spiders, thats one way that the wammo one is more faster, because of the naturaly 1/4 second heal and plus after several are dead, you dont even have to use it anymore

**Edit** . . . um i just got an idea im gonna go try it out when we get favor

I wouldn't have linked to it if it wasn't still doable.

And when in doubt, legionnaires helps a little.

I set a new record for myself for the run! 37 mins! I shaved of some time, by using Shields Up! rather than Watch Yourself (foo's advice). It worked like a dream! I also broke down and bought a cheap set of Knights (also from foo's post). Even when I was using Heal sig, Damage was straight -0's.

What other skills are you using? what gear?

[think of trying to kill all the dryders in the cave, and then do the way back for the spiders, it mught even speed things up].

I'd been using the dragon slash combo for awhile, I just added "Shields Up!" and rushed the front of the cave like you described. I've got a stance Sword, and a -2 stance/30 hp always shield (which I need to trade out with a tactics req shield).

you usualy need to agro a few in order to get there. just make sure you have a runaway path cleared from more skales, and as much as possible, free of others too. run to them, and hit sprint. break agro, and heal untill life transfer is gone.

always watch for more skales wondering about.

Correct, it is just bad luck. I am no longer surprised by the variants of the skale patrols. All other mobs have a set pattern which once learned makes it pretty easy. But the other day, I had a skale from the mob closest on the right side of the cave, go all the way into the cave, damn near right up to the fourth dryder :O

OH, on a side note, with any build listed in this thread, it is safe to run from skale into a mob of driftwood, but only go by dryders if you have some skills to spam to cancel Wastrel's, while at the same time not cancelling sprint until clear of the Skale aggro.

On a side note, thanks again Racthoh for getting this going. I have been making money fast, even after buying legionairres armor, and weapons/mods. Still need that elusive 15^50 chaos axe.

I've looked at this thread many times, and have finally got round to reading all the (1692, as of this) posts *wow*. I'd just like to congratulate you Racthoh on this awesome run. As per normal, your warrior prowess amazes me. I've been running the W/Me Dragon Slash build, and my runs take considerably less time than they used to (as a lot of people have said, it is practice that makes perfect with this run), around 40min.

I'm thinking of trying the W/Mo build when I get back from holiday (this computer is a Mac, which won't run Guild Wars.... grrr), and I was wondering about what armor set would be optimal. You and some others have said Legionarres(sp?) is the way to go, yet I would have thought it to be Ascalon, for the -3 damage from all attacks.... I'd like some input here, before I go and spend all my money on 15k Ascalon, and this will also help me with the decision to buy Dreadnought's or Legionarres for a factions armor. The fact that Ascalon only reduces Physical doesn't bother me - I like 15k Ascalon and will gladly buy it even if only for a farming armor, but I don't want to buy it then realise Legionarres would have been better....

The armor I'm currently using is Gladiator's, and that works fine (even with my 15%-10 sword) with the high armor builds, but im wondering about armor decision for when it comes to the W/Mo HH build.

Also, would my weapon be ok for the Whammo build? It has 'of defense' mods, so only gives me -5 armor whilst attacking, which from what I've gathered would be ok with "Watch Yourself!", but I was thinking of scrapping that after geting more experienced, and subbing it for another attack skill. I know I could probably find this out from Trial and Error, but as I've said I'm abroad at the moment. Also, other opinions are always a good thing.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have hard evidence to prove this, but I believe Legionnaire's armor would be better for the W/Mo build. On the W/Me build, there is a lot of additional armor, so adding more armor onto that would not be as effective because armor stacks with diminishing returns. On the W/Mo, however, there is considerably less additional armor, so the +10 armor might just be better than -3 reduction.

I find that even with optimal equiptment, (Legionnaire's, -2/-2 shield, +5 armor weapon) removing watch yourself can make the enterance of the cave very difficult. I find that if I have all of the spiders attacking me at once there, that I can not survive the entire down-time of healing hands 100% of the time. It is possible with careful pulling, but that can slow down the run even more, and is a little bit more risky. So with a weapon that has 10 less armor of mine, I doubt you will be able to take out "Watch Yourself!". But you should have no problems completing the run with it.

On another note, would a 20% longer enchantments mod be more useful than a +5 armor mod? Most of the time when I don't use "Watch Yourself!" I find that if Healing Hands had recharged just a couple seconds faster, I would have survived. The 2 bonus seconds could make the difference.

Thanks aB! When I'll get back I'll buy Legionarres then . Thanks again for your input.

[edit] Thanks krozz, but I was originally asking what armor for the W/Mo build. I can do the run fine with W/Me. Thanks anyway though.

Using Knight's armour on the W/Me build made the run kinda easy.

Hi All,

Been 3 months since my last spider cave run, been busy with factions, I sure love
this run tho, got in 3 runs on Saturday before we lost favor, I used the Dragon
slash build posted here and goes very fast, used my all Glads armor to.

Seems like Europe has favor most of the day when I play, then America finally
starts getting it late in the evening after I am completely burned out from playing
all day, one reason I think alot of our guild plays late at night.

Question : I have been thinking about switching to the European servers, since they
have favor most of the time I am on, how many times can you switch back and forth??
And what are the "in's/out's" of doing this?? Looking for advice ......

-thx

Duward: The W/Mo build is current that is on the front page. There is a W/Me build as well but that is buried in the 85 pages of thread :-p
