As far as HS goes, you dont need to focus on interrupting them, just hit each spider a few times, and they will get out of "healing mode", and wont use it anymore.

I tried this run again yesterday. Triple Chop and Cyclone Axe really work! Found 1 shard on that run.

Problem is that I have to try like 3 times to get to the cave alive

Edit: made it from the first time now, got 4 shards, no rares.

Edit 2: Can someone tell me why the spiders don't use Savage Shot on me (Healing Signet)? Do they only interrupt spells or something? Guildwiki says that the Armored Cave Spiders HAVE Savage Shot, but why don't they use it then?

Any1 know if the filefront downloads work or is it just me ? i'm having trouble actually making it to the caves but could be doing it wrong Im attempting the Triple Chop build as i think that skill does huge amounts of damage when im farming cantha

The spiders will only use Savage Shot if you're almost dead, I think it's around 50 health or so.

And FileFront as I mentioned a few posts ago doesn't seem to be working at the moment.

i have. a long time ago. back when rac first posted this.

it was fun, but it took way too long. i'm not sure if it was a resistance to blunt damage or maybe they are weak to slashing, but the run took longer and i decided it wasn't worth it. the new factions skills look nice though, and might make it go faster. yeti smash and renewing smash look nice.

and good luck getting rac to touch a hammer.

I have been doing this awhile with the old w/me build that i modified a little bit I just have a few questions as far as equipment and skills goes.
I have been using a victos axe customized on my american account, but I have been using a collector stance axe with fortitude and furious mod on my european spide farmer.(I know im kinda ripping the system off ).
I have decided to move up to a new axe on my american warrior because i like to play below 50% health I was wondering if I should take a 15% while in stance or +15% always -10 while attacking. Im leaning towards the always because its going to be a very expensive axe with +30 hp and 20/20 sundering and I would like to use it any situation, and I am starting to incorporate 2 pieces of legionaire in to my build which kinda cancel the -10 armor. Thats my axe dillema if any has tried a -10 armor and it didn't work I would greatly appreciate it.
As far as skills goes I have been using cyclone, cleave, furious axe, and exe strike as my attacks. I am just wondering if penetrating blow and penetrating chop make it faster because there is less adreline needed to do each skill. Probrably does help cancel out wastrel's worry. Also is there any other axe skills I may be missing to help run the build takes me between 35-50 mins a run.
Another question I have is the -2 you get from an ascalon helm is it a big contributer in damage reduction, because I am thinking of maybe switching to an executioner's helm for a little more damage.( I use a superior axe rune in the helm).
I know I have alot of questions but greatly appreciate any help I can get on trying to improve my spider farming efficiency with new skills and items.

You can put the ascalon piece on your boots instead for the damage reduction.

*smacks head* I should of done that because +1 tactics is only 7 health each healing sig. Guess after I get my new fow helm with axe mastery I'll be buying a new pair of knights gauntlets, just bought a pair of 1.5k kurzich to see what it is like to have a high healing sig with around 450 health. Wish i hadn't been stupid and put my sup vigor in my boots.......

Well... boots or gloves would work fine. You're not using any knockdowns so you won't need stonefist gauntlets for this build. And the gold to craft another pair of boots anyway is a lot cheaper than a Superior Vigor.

As a side note... filefront is working again.

i actually used a modded version of this that i tryed when i got quivering blade

heal sig, sever artery, quivering blade, final thrust,physical resist, watch yourself, shields up, sprint

with quiv blade im constantly dishing out 50-80 damage per 4 adren and final thrust is always ready when ur spamming quiv blade, it cut my run time by like 15 mins give it a try

12 str, 13 swords, 12 tacs

equip i use is kaolin blade (zealous +7)
geoffers bulwark (+10 vs pierce)
