Yes, I do. The drops seem better in the forest, so I run over there after clearing the Spiders(Spider run is easier). The build I use:

W/Me
Axe: 8+1+3
Strength: 11+1
Tactics: 11+1
Inspiration: 3

Zealous Axe of Defense, Gladiator with Knight's boots, and desert stance shield(I want to try a Legionnaire set for this)

Skills:

Cyclone Axe, Cleave, Watch Yourself, Elemental Resistance, Sprint, Healing Signet, Dolyak Signet, Flurry

yeap they do even the first abysall dropped a shard on that ended up with 7 shards altogether. not my best run but close to my top 10 runs there. ive even had a dryder drop one. dont know about the skales, since i dont bother with them unless i get unlucky. yes i have killed the skale before but it takes so damn long not worth it lol. u get 1 hit in and have to heal. yes the HoD helm works good on them.

Thanks MisterB, Gonna give it a shot today. Was thinking of a build along the same lines with without Dolyaks.

Physical Resistance
Mantra of Lightning
Heal Sig
I Will Survive
Srint
Triple Chop
Cyclone
Executioners

Elemental Resistance gives ~50% elemental reduction at 0 inspiration, but it looks like your build needs more energy from the Mantra. I would recommend Watch Yourself instead of I Will Survive, unless you have Sentinel armor.

I tried something similar, basically used Penetrating Chop instead of Executioner's and running only 1 superior. Prophecies areas just don't stand up to Factions skills like Triple Chop.

3. +health armour and the denravi helm.

Oh, and the under 6 minute clearing of the front cave using the the /mo build:
http://files.filefront.com/Time_Tria.../fileinfo.html
a bit late but what i usualy do after running past the first group of skales is i run straight to the group of driftwood walking to wards those skales and i cast balthazars spirit and then HH.its fun to argo all 3 groups of driftwood and cyclone away.

btw Racthoh have u thought of replacing live vicariously with vigorous spirit? +15 per hit from spirit instead of 12 from live vicariously also u dont suffer the -1 degen leaving u with -1 mana regen all the time.

Oops, forgot to add that to the first part... yeah, cast your enchantments when you're among the driftwood so they heal you up.

Vigourous Spirit = 1 second cast time.
Dozens of Spiders with 1/2 second Savage Shot.

Problems.

with balths you dont need to worry about the -1 energy regen lost... since with all the spiders attacking you, you have unlimited energy.

You could always use the HH build with axe skills... Swap Triple Chop for Cyclone, I guess.

I've only done 2 (successful) runs recently, as I've been working on about a million other things, and the only times I could run in FoW we don't have favor.

Run 1: failed due to me not doing it for ages
Run 2: 4 Shards, 1 Sapphire
Run 3: 1 Shard, a million clean chaos axes
Run 4: Left for coffee and died >.>
Run 5: Scales spawned where Driftwoods should

Very interesting, I finally found the W/Mo build and I will try it tonight.

Im suprized that I have yet to see one of my favorite skills in anyones build.... of course there are 69 pages and I have only read about half of them

Tactics= 13
Sword= 12
Strength= 11
Inspiration= 4

Sprint
Healing Sig
Phyiscal Defense
Dolyak Sig
Hundred Blades
Final Thrust
Gal Slash
Thrill of Victory (this is the one im talking about)

I will give it a shot tonight and get back to ya.

Not too fond of Thrill of Victory, especially when going solo against degeneration of all things. The difference between a 13 tactics ToV and 12 sword Pure Strike is +12 damage. Pure Strike however, doesn't have that higher health condition. Since you're using a superior rune, and against a level 24 enemy, you can't lead with the ToV and get any additional damage. You basically just sit there with it waiting until your health total is higher and then use it. Subsequante spiders will encounter the same problem, waiting until you've knocked off enough health before using it.

With Spiders all you have to do is lead with Hundred Blades then Gal Slash.. then ToV...in that order you will always have more hp than the spiders. Even if you have to heal before you use it. Having 13 in Tactics help you to keep your hp above that of the spiders. It does the same damage as Gal Slash, which makes your build have 3 skills that do at least 60-70 damage...

One thing that I have noticed is that you and the spiders start with almost the exact same HP (Dryders, however, are a different story), as long as you lead with HB you will have more hp than the spider which makes ToV a nice skill to take large chunks of hp from them.... also the recharge time of ToV is pretty low (actually the same, 8 seconds) once you get the enemy to 1/2 health, the fights only 3 skills from being over.

Its cut my run times down a lot and works very well if the skills are done in the right sequence. You could always give it a try and tell me what you think afterwards.
