Thanks for posting this, after two days I've more than made back the cash I spent learning and the cash for my shield (req8 Aegis, -2 stance, -3 hexed). Very entertaining run.

Whoever it was that suggested pulling them all along the wall, awesome idea. Killing all these som' bitches at the same time is gratifying to say the least, let alone a real time saver.

How is tis a good thing? Do they all use healing spings at one time, so you intrupt them all in 1 time???? because if they use healing springs all at diferent times, thats choase... Healing Spike..

I actually have a video of the complete run (thnx $40 to fraps for registering). All together its about 6gigs in length at its current raw format, and is about an hour long due to the fact that I had skales outside of the cave entrance to hassle me. I will be putting it into probably a divx format and hosting on google videos, so in all it will probably take a couple days to get it edited and uploaded, then another few days for google to approve it. I'll post here when I get done.

P.S.- was thinking of a soundtrack for it... "Come Together" by the Beatles sounds good for pulling all the spiders together^^

As long as you stand by them now, they won't use Healing Spring which reduces the need to divert your attention and time heals.

Hum I been reading through the thread, and trying this out, but I cannot get past the skales to save my life. Is there is videos on this around [I did download what I could but all seem to start at cave and not getting past the skales which too me seems impossible. I can pass the first group but either there is no safe zone due to patrols, or there is a tight pass with a group camping there.

Any tips?

when you first get to the beach you have to take out the 3 driftwoods and then the first dryder. Take a second to watch the skale patrols and 'ctrl' to see where the other skales are sitting. If the 2nd skale group along the wall isnt static, sometimes its better to find a route towards the water. You can ingage some of the dryders and driftwoods and keep a very careful eye on your aggro bubble. If you do get hit with degen, sprint to the corner (safe zone 2) there is normally a good spot in that general area to rest and heal.

I dont think you can sprint through the whole beach cause if you aggro more then one group of skale its fissure over. This is from my experience only.

btw, has anyone actually got anything good out of a chest? I burn up every key I get and its all useless. Hey thanks for the cesta 13 req, just what I was lookin for.

No doubt :: no doubt

That was me, X to the G to the Z, back on page 40 of this huge thread. Perhaps someone had posted it already; I only skimmed through the whole thread when I first found this topic taking the most valuable ideas IMO. (Did a 'View printable version' and chose to view 40 posts/page)

Yeah Rac is correct on this. You gotta get close to them. I mean like in their face. I used to just run right outside the mouth of the cave, where all the spiders run out to, and they all use healing spring like it was going out of style, and I never made any progress. I tried to lure 9 once against the wall, but I think they all used 'healing spring' even though I was pretty close. I think 6 is a good number to deal with.

Indeed ::: Indeed
I bring my Vampiric Axe that I made from the Droks Weaponsmith. Modded it with 20% Axe mastery, and have full 16 in Axe. When you have all of them up there like that, you do one cyclone and all your skills are definitely recharged. Cleave along with the other axe skills really get the job done quick, and you do some crazy spikes. Usually when a spider gets near 25% I switch, but when you have so many I just finish them off until there is 3 left, then I switch to a fresh spider.

Yes I have had gold shadow blade, bow,shield and chaos axes, BUT it is usually staffs\canes. Probably 1 good thing out of every 10, but I have yet to get a OMG item

Well I made my first run, but still have some issues with the spawns. It seems most spawns I get a wandering group, then a group camped on the left of them, then the normal patrol near safe point two, which leaves no safe point I can see. Nothing as big as my aggro bubble at least. Is this common or just bad luck?

And I got a req 11 13>50 shadow blade today, first time I used a fissure chest. Gave it away to a guild mate.

Reread my post please.. I said I could kill the skales with Racthoh's original build which I no longer use. I can do the spider run now within 30 minutes without killing the skales.

If you want to kill the skales (if you feel comfortable enough with undertaking it), bring Skull Crack and use it when they're nearing death. Problem is if you're using an axe it's going to hurt your damage output a lot come time for spiders. Oh well, sword > axe.

Random Tip: I found a way to kill the first set of Snarling Driftwoods quickly. My record is 4 seconds and so beat that! Actually I'll let you guys know. When you are hiding behind the big mountain waiting for the two groups to split apart; one going left and another going right. Make sure you don't have hex helm on, and make sure the right group has past and cleared (the right group when you are facing the beach entrance). If you are looking towards the entrance to the beach, usually I run on the right side of the mountain after the group splits. But before you do, agro the left mob a bit, and a Nightmare will cast 'Mark of Pain', and possibly 'Spiteful Spirit' on you. Then continue to the beach and use Sprint at this time to lose agro. After that, you run into the Driftwoods. Go pretend to give them all a big group hug, but instead make the first attack, which is probably Cyclone Axe to whoop them all into shape. They take damage from MoP and SS. And watch how fast they go down. They will try to dash away a bit, because of the aoe deal, but you can run after them and take them down no problem. Anything to save time on this run! (BTW, I hate wasting time, like I have said previously in my posts)

Second survival tip, is when you are running away from the Skales, try not to run into the Driftwoods, for the reason I mentioned before, and that is because they have a Hamstring attack, that will slow you down making your escape from the Skales tough. But there is another reason, and that is because they have Protector's Strike, which deals about 40+dmg to you each hit (w/o any buffs). [Which means they must have strength up to 17 ; I checked on GuildWiki.org.] I got all 6 of them on the first part of the beach coming after me with PS, but it was all good because they met with the wrong side of my Vampiric Axe soon enough.

That's my newest Warrior using a build similar to Racthoh's but tweaked a bit and some Mesmer skills added.

The skills are blocked out so some newbs in my guild that I don't like can't copy this build, as they've copied my 55 builds along with my other Warrior's build.

P.S. Lol btw I didn't mean to run into the whole cave mouth full of ACS but those pesky Scale were on my tail with their -10 life regen so I took my chances and pwned all the spiders and saved my tail. :]

P.P.S. Look at the Godlike default interface. Darn I am so cool!

Just so everyone knows, it doesnt matter how many armored cave spiders you take on at once, 1 or 50 they are all doing(ideally) 0 damage. Just know when to cast healing signet and keep doylak signet on as much as humannly possible :-p

I know it doesn't matter, but what's more impressive to say..

"I took on one whole ACS and pwned it!"

"I was battling versus 9 ACS and I won!"

No doubt, I count 15 in my screenshot. Notice I am taking -1's..that's because I'm using my fortitude axe. Haven't gotten around to crafting a new axe for this, because oddly, I haven't found a Zealous axe in about 2 months.
