If you have 2 accounts you could repeatedly kill the charr rangers at the left of Doomlore shrine, should be fast.

Just like he said, killing those charr rangers near Doomlore Shrine is a good way to farm carvings.
I know trapping works and luring them behind a rock so they can't kill you, then Kill them with SS + necrosis. If you do the SS method you should bring somthing to interrupt their troll unguent.

there are probably other ways to farm those rangers, but I used those 2 myself.

Don't know if it would work and can't try it myself as I finished quest but Charr Invaders quest had large groups and lots of lower lvls might make it easier to farm them. If it worked just drop before ya get reward and keep taking it. If it doesnt I didnt leave this message

sup charr carvings only drop from lvl 20 eotn charr and that charr invaders lvl 8 charr dont drop superb but normal charr carvings.

Repeteat the Cathedral of Flames or others areas with Charr.
