i find that spamming spirits net more feathers / collectables then killing them all within 5 second builds

usually 60-80 using aoe and around 90-130 feathers using spirit spam

a decent relaxed easy farm which requires no real effort and decent money per hour with any char 15-30k an hour depending how good you are, possibly more from runes

Is there a mesmer build or will any of the various mesmer farm/solo builds work?

I've used the MM build and the Rit Spammer build, though primarily MM as you just let the minions do all the work.

Most feathers (including salvaging scalps) that I've gotten has been a little over 200 with the least around 75. Generally get between 120 and 150.

I salvage everything and I ususally get the usual feathers and then some hide.

and it doesnt matter whether you use a expert or regular kit.

this is a 9-10 min run with any/Rt build in NM using ancestor's rage, VwK, spirit rift and speed boost skill(s) depending on primary (ranger is best imo, stormchaser+dwarven stability = perma IMS) but yeah this is like the 10th thread with the exact same information/route/stats, etc.

I collect only blue-purple-gold items (blue ones only if they are rune carrying). Whites are totally worthless in nm, even for salvage (2-3 iron). Each run i get at least one gold drop and lots (5-10) blue ones with runes. Now the runes alone can net you lots of cash - minor spawning power, minor soul reaping, runes of attunement, survivor and radiant insignias, shaman insignias, etc.. Dyes also drop a lot in Jaya.

I get a lot of dye doing this, as well as tons of runes and usually a couple golds per run.

I use my Rit and my Derv to farm in Jaya; Rit I use standard spirit spam, it's incredibly easy. Dervish I use a weird variation on the AoB build, with Mystic Regen and Sliver Armor. Both work quite nicely and I average 100-130 feathers per run. The least I've ever gotten in a single run (after salvaging crests) was about 90, the most around 160.

Love feather farming <3

I use this for farming at habor and during nicholas quest. Harbor runs take ~15 min since i salvage everything during the run.

There are a trillion ways to farm feathers out of Seitung, which is probably one of my favorite parts about the farm. I use a template that any character with a Ritualist secondary could use.

Vengeful was Khanhei (invinci-skill in Normal Mode), Spirit Rift, Ancestor's Rage, Light of Deldrimor (3 skills to kill any aggro'd group of Sensali), Mindbender (generally speeds up the run, fast cast doesn't hurt either), "I Am Unstoppable!" (stops cripple from Crippling Dagger, makes it infinitely easier to aggro multiple groups), Resilient Weapon, Wielder's Boon (These two delay the need to use VwK until all the Sensali are around you and attacking, and can help you to survive any mess-ups with VwK against larger groups.)

Attributes are pretty obvious: Max Channeling, Max Resto.

I've only run this on a Necro with 5 Soul Reaping, I doubt it's needed so long as you have a decent energy pool. I prefer this build because I've just used it more than any others, and it completes the run the fastest of any I've tried. I follow the same route that's been posted around, average a very similar amount of feathers (my numbers tend to be a little lower, though), and aggro together as many groups as possible for a screenful of pretty yellow numbers.

Dont think anyone replied to this so i will .

600/smite is hm and bergen caromi i find too small a number - say the caromi outside la who have more numbers .
HM you do get more feathers and higher value drops etc but does take alot longer to do 1 run
NM sensali is for arguements sake 10 - 15 mins run - low value drops but do yield between 60 - 100 feathers a run plus the crests - also quite a few gd runes drop here .

Ive farmed both quite a bit and from my own exp i find sensali are quicker and easier -
approx 300 + avg feathers an hr inc crest salv
also their crests yeild just a 1 or 2 feathers more than caromi scalps.
caromi i cant state exactly how many feathers approx an hr but im sure its below 300 easily.

verdict - sensali vs caromi means sensali nm wins easily
But its been said that the mission ( closer to the stars ) is better for feathers but i still feel for time sensali still wins.

I use a R/E earth build, can clear the area in 12 mins.

I've posted it on here several times in the past.

nice guide.
I would compare the drop rates to the Tengus in front of Lions Arch.
About the same amount of feathers drop there.

Just a question. Someone above me already mentioned it.

It seems that my Spirit spammer gets more feathers than my AOE Derwish.

Why ?

It's all in the way that you kill them, for some reason if you bring more damage than you need to kill them the drops decrease. I used to use the kind of bar that Fuzzy mentioned, but started messing around with an all degen build and when I pumped my curses up to the point that suffering did a degen of 3 instead of 2, the drops decreased noticably. This was on top of the degen from rad field and poisoned heart. The trick with these little buggers is, do only enough to kill them and no more.

Drops decrease as the time interval between kills becomes shorter. So multiple kills at the same time will erase drops, while killing one at a time, or every 5-10 seconds or more will yield more drops. It doesn't matter how much damage you pump into the target to kill it, but the time between kills does matter.

This thread explains drop rates in greater detail. My own experience is the same or similar as the results in that thread.

You`ll find caromi outside la are done usually in hm and the jaya sensali are done in nm as its a faster run and amount per hr - hard to say for caromi as hm is longer runs but sensali are easily 250 + an hr without including scalp salvage.
btw sensali are an approx avg of 60 - 100 per 15 mins run ( avg time and avg total a run is based on most posts regarding feather runs but can differ due to what professions used )

Fast runs with AoE can yield lower drops a run but thats been covered elsewhere ( MisterB`s link in post )

Mysticism: 12 + 1 + 3
Scythe Mastery: 9 + 1
Earth Prayers: 9 + 1

Equipment:

Zealous Scythe of Enchating
Any max AL armor will do
Attunement/Survivor Insignias

actually i found this build much easier to use as well as being quicker.

mysticism 12+1+1
Earth Prayers 12+2
Inspiration Magic 3

cast the AoB and Channeling right before mob. then proceed 2-3-4-5-6-7 (do so quickly to reduce time and prevent enchants wearing off)

use 8 if you need health while in mob and 7 again if they are still standing after you bomb them.

for this you dont even need a weapon. although it is recommended you have a weapon that is 20% enchant and +5 energy. makes it quicker.

tell me what you think.
