Default Ice Breaker Farm

DISCLAIMER: I know it is not profitable, however I would like to farm one for myself and a few of my friends, without buying one (possible reasons: hard to find a seller, don't want to pay much, etc.)

On to the builds. I was thinking a possible spirit spammer build:

SoS (e)
Painful bond
Vampirism
Bloodsong
Pain
Shadowsong
armor of unfeeling
spirit leech aura

http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:Any/Rt_Spirit_Farmer

Possible problems could be running there, overagro, etc. I've never spirit spammed for farming, so suggestions would be very appreciated here.

I was also thinking about a warrior stance tank. Think that would work?

Dwarven Stab
Glads (e)
Brawling Headbutt
On Your Knees
Healing Sig
Dolyak
Optional
Optional

http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:W/an...emental_Farmer

Other possibilities include:

http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:W/N_Raptor_Farmer
http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:W/Mo_Defy_Pain_Farmer

Any comments are appreciated.

Thanks!

EDIT: If people don't know, the Ice Breaker drops from Mighty Grawls in Talus Chute.

That build works everywhere, so using that is a good way to go.

E/Me Sliver and/or Hexes should be able to do it in HM, so should A/E or A/Me. The main issues with the grawl are knockdowns, chilblains and signet of agony. Keep your distance from grawl crones and you should be OK, and bring IAU or some form of anti-KD. Just run through and hex the ones with the forgotten fans and the Ice breaker. I'll try this later tonight.

The SoS should be able to do it but I think it would be slower than the perma/tank because only the ones that wield the ice breaker will drop it and you can't just run by looking for them.

I think the stancer is possible but unlike hexes you can't just focus fire on one enemy. Plus you'll have to deal with the (not particularly intimidating) necromancers.

Defy pain warrior will not work too well because it uses enchantments.

It's not the end of the world if you kill the necro grawls as well since they drop the frozen fan, which is another cool/semi-rare green from proph.

I can see why the Defy Pain farmer wouldn't work, that was stupid of me.

I'd like to work on a Warrior build to do this if possible. I tried the stance tank, but I couldn't make it there. One way has Azure Shadows (Signet of Judgment KD) and avicara, etc. I took I am unstoppable, but I still couldn't make it through. The other way has ice imps and frozen elementals hexing me. Anyone know a way to get to the Grawl area using the 2 free skill slots? (lol)

Go in easymode Giro. bring sprint and IAU, and go the shadow way. You can use sprint to run by mobs that dont have an Ice Breaker in it.

Yes Stance tank works, this is how I did it when they just introduced them to the game. Basically just look for any grawls with the hammer equiped (unless the changed it) those grawls will drop the hammer.

Do easy mode like tom said, you should only need sprint to make it past the avicara.

I'm trying that. Here's what happens:

I make it past first set of shadows. But then I hit the second group of shadow pops and I usually get KD'd once as IAU runs out. Then I hit the avicara and I usually get degened/damaged to death before I can run through them. Am I missing something?

spend as little time near the avacara as possible, don't charge directly through their mob?

I think the problem is I keep getting KD'd as IAU ends between the avicara and the 2nd shadow pop. Guess I need higher norn rank (currently r4).

EDIT: I threw in Enduring Harmony to make IAU last longer, and it worked, so yea that was the problem.

Run from droks, much easier. the first group of imps that run into your path will run away if you wait.. and if you watch your minimap you can avoid getting in aggro range of anything else on the way up.
