Elite Areas is number 1 most reliable source of income.

If you know the economy powertrading (essentially buying item X low and selling it for 5-10k more or as you escalate in wealth buying a minipet for 500E and selling for 525-550E instead etc.) Powertrading is boring for 99% of the people that play, which is why people don't spend all their time doing this.

Farming Raptors/Vaettir/other FAST MASS killing during special weekends (easter for example) for special drops. One raptor run has gotten me around 7 eggs and 6 bunnies on a lucky one. That one run took me 2 minutes (I don't run the lame W/N build which is why it is over a minute) and was worth around 1.5-2k if I sold those sweets. Naturally these sorts of weekends are few and far between so don't count on these.

Farming UW solo is a nice option also if you are decent at the builds. Current common builds are A/D SF/Sand Shard scythe build or R/A SF/Whirling Defense build. These almost always lead you into the Chaos Plains as they are the best location to get ectos. Ice Wastes was a common location but with skeletons that somewhat killed it. Or a slower and steadier build, SoS rit/ranger. Use Search function to find any of these builds/guides.

To recap, you want to be wealthy join an Elite farming guild (DoA/UW are *PROBABLY* the most profitable unless you are extremely lucky in Urgoz/Deep/Slavers/Dungeons) The later 4 give some cash and a low desirability rare material (Obsidian Shard being the most expensive). DoA/UW on a winning run are a guaranteed 3-4 Gemsets (about 70k in worth...ish) and UW gives usually 1-2ectos and extra drops.
