Anyone has any suggestions on where best to farm these and how?

These seems to be the toughest one to farm for Thackeray's hunt.

Wiki is your friend - truffles are from factions off the wallow foes in kurz lands - dont confuse them with the wallows in lux lands as they are treated as 2 diff wallow types with a different trophy drop.
They can also have a very low drop rate as many have found when farming them for canthan new yr festival.

Thackeray will accept truffles, but does not especially want truffles, so why farm them? He only gives a bag of junk for one, which you can just as easily get by giving him something easier to obtain, such as chunks of drake flesh.

However, if you insist on truffles, then you need to find fungal wallows in Echovald, which are generally found with groups of dredge. The most dredge nearest to an outpost are probably those in Ferndale outside of Aspenwood Gate. Another possibility would be the south area of Melandru's Hope, working out of Brauer Academy. Third possibility would be Arborstone, on the east and north side of the cathedral, but you'd have to fight through some wardens to get to them.

as BrettM says, go out of Brauer, and i think theres about 8 or 9 wallow, mostly ranging around with at least 1 dredge each. Also theres a wallow boss who can sometimes drop 2 truffles if you are lucky.

Thanks, I will try there. I was farming outside of Vasburg since there are 2 wallows following a blood drinker but the drop rate was just horrible.
