Would this build still work if I used an Elementalist as the primary character and went Rit secondary??

can you explain any major drawbacks if I went as an Elementalist.

cheers.

Well, you won't have the +1 from headpiece of Ritualist and you can't get the most damage and health from your Spirits due to no Spawning Power.

As for Ranger, you lose a bit of armor and a lot of elemental armor, you gain +1 pip of energy, you get more energy with Storage, but you also spend more than Ranger due to no Expertise.

It will probably work ok, however you will probably have to wait between fights to regen energy and your damage isn't near as good as a rit primary nor have the survival/energy saving of a ranger. Necros can do fairly well with the build as well because of soul reaping.

I've run it as an ele primary, just not in UW yet. But I like it much better than other options for using an ele to solo. I added EVAS, which helps hold the aggro and takes further advantage of the painful bond hex. Skills from the SP line won't do much for you as an ele anyway, so you may have an available slot or 2 on your bar for skills like that. Also, I've coupled the E/Rit with 1 N/Rit hero (aura of the lich MM with life and a few restoration spells) in a few tougher places and like that pretty well. You do need to flag the necro behind you.

Using some heroes you can solo shiro in nm. In HM I can only get him to about half heath before he kills me, maybe switch some of the heroes builds and can kill him

I finally got a person to help me experiment with a theory I had and it seems to work pretty darn well and its pretty fast.

DoA: Found of Failed Creations Farming

I just use my uw touch ranger build that is stickied in the farming section as the tank/aggro gather that does damage. While I have a Spirit Wall Rt roll in with the spirit army for support to kill the stuff pretty fast. I could for see having a third person that ran a communing bar consisting of defensive spirits such as shelter, union, displacement, and a few other things making it a very easy and fast farm setup.

Way to use copywrited audio and not write who's songs those are. Can't watch the Misc. videos because of country restrictions.

Hey sry yeh should mention FoW forest and scoundrels rise vanq both have soundtracks by Beastie Boys copyrighted by Universal Music Group. UMG have increased their licences to alot more countries lately which basically covers the majority of youtube viewers but still missing a few countries. I'd rework em with different songs but already deleted the coverage albeit a clip or two. I do try to avoid UMG aswell as WMG but the odd one sneaks through, isn't always easy working out who holds the rights

I use this with Assassin primary and I just raise channeling to 12 instead of a primary attribute. I don't have any problems with energy. But even though I constantly create spirits, enemies will often kill them too fast and go for me. Would going R/Rt make this better?

You are free to add Craw Stonereaper, Zarnas Stonewrath and Meril Stoneweaver to list of farmable bosses in Hard Mode. You need heroes and henches to clear the first group of mobs, then flag them back to the entrance and go farming.

Only Stonewrath is a bit hard, because you will often get hit with 2 or 3 Stone Daggers before running behind cover. Still, it's really easy to kill both Stonereaper and Stoneweaver for their greens and tomes.

edit: That's with Rit primary, of course.

I have a R/Rt using this and cleared UW without doeing the quests (except for the first one), but all quests should be doable. Hard but possible.

Much more fun then farming with my assassin , takes alot longer but screw that .

I don't think energy would be that big an issue.

You don't have Spawning (I assume this is what you mean by SP, correct me if I'm wrong) for skills, it's mainly to increase the health of your spirits.

Also needless to say this can work with a Necromancer too.

Been trying the Quests and so far the only quest that would not be possible is the "Servants of Grenth" quest in the Ice Wastes. You need to protect two spots, also if you try it at the spawn point you would die just because of the amount of enemies.

Have you tried to preset you spirits (spaced out all over the spawn area)
Then wait for skill recharge use a candy for speed increase take quest and hall arse to lay a spirit wall? If you have room and can hold aggro you should be able to complete it. I have taken on alot of them in the pits at once and it seems you just need room and time. Just a thought I have not done this quest solo.
