Default Rap farming for victory tokens

I was thinking of making a warr for farming tokens this weekend, but my friend says they are dropping barely at all. He said he did 25 runs and only got 1, but got lots of golds and other normal stuff.

So is it worth it? Or he just really unlucky? or are the drops nerfed at raptors?

(he also said he didnt take leechers, idk if that matters or not)

Pretty sure the drop rates for Victory Tokens are dismal, everywhere. Quickest way to get them is to do the quests on characters.

Yup as usual for last 2 yrs token drops are almost as rare as hmm maybe getting a war in kryta green lol.
In comparison to ops friend and raptors - i did 5 runs at vaetires and managed a whopping 2 tokens from 300 foes - compare that to normal events which you get avg 4+ a run of event drops.
Im starting to think Kisu is getting a tad stingy and if he wants us to protect his ass he`d better pay better lol - wonder if hes related to princess salma ?

If that's the case you might be better just re-rolling factions toons and doing the 4 Shing Jea quests. You get 240 per character for those and they don't take very long...

I did DoA and had 15+ drop for each party member. Some people left them on the ground so at the end I got about 50 from one run

Or you could do the 5 quests and get a stack in ~10-15 mins

u want to do questing and mini-games to farm for tokens. drops from regular mobs are a pittance.

Out of all the events that have drops - dragon fest and tokens are always the worse for dropping - either a huge majority of us are unlucky or those who do get them are doing what i call kills over time - eg a vanquish opposed to vaetires/raptors which are fast mass kills.
As i said before - last event doing vaetires i could get quite a lot per hour but tokens seem to be real low - no idea if this is intentional by anet so to force players to do the quests or not.
Vaetires i wouldnt say are over farmed - the only time you get a mass group at longeyes is on an event and soon as an event finishes the farmers dwindle to a handfull.
Unlike raptors where there are constant farmers there - btw i dont raptor farm nor has my chr who did vaetires been there since last festival ( she got lost in WiK lol ).
There used to be the urban legend where you rolled a prophs chr because event drops used to be best in pre but that died out a while ago.
Either way the drop rate for tokens suck bigtime which is a shame as other events now shine above dragon festival - so much that a few guildies who do like events are leaving dragon fest alone as its not worth the effort now.

That isn't an urban legend. I have a pre char at level 3, that I'm training with the Ice Elemental quest method and have had 20+ token drops. After only 5 takes of that quest. -.-

4 quests, that each take about 4-7 minutes each, running at 33% speed (paragon [fall back][incoming]). So ~20-25 minutes.

And this is what I do, with 2 accounts, running 33% full bore. I pull "token farmer" low-level assassin chars [dash] on second account through, for 2x rewards. So, ~2 stacks every 30 minutes (5 stacks so far, another 4 or so left for tomorrow)...
