Default Proper Assassin build

So I've been looking for ages to find a proper STILL WORKING build, but I can't find them anywhere (Also due the fact that most builds use certain rank skills which I haven't achieved yet). Today I found the raptor farm build for A/E, but I found out that the build is completely shit.

(Deadly Paradox, Shadow Form, Fire Attunement, Flame Djinn's Haste, Meteor Shower, Fire Storm, Glyph of Swiftness)

Shadow Form is completely unnecesary (as it's against spells, and raptors are Assassins), you get interrupted straight away and die within 10 seconds when pulling a big mob.

So I tried altering it to: Fire attunement, Glyph of Concentration, (Meteor Shower), Fire Storm, Bed of Coals, Flame Djinn's Haste, Smoke Powder Defense

But my main problem is the recieved damage, low interruption prevention and unability of healing.

So anyone got OR some other good build, OR a better variant of the raptor one?

Unfortunaly the assassin's skill bars is the worst thing about them they are a 1,2,3-Spammer with a few enchants to keep them alive this go's for farming

My Assassin go's with gimicky builds just for fun

that build is horrible.
assassins now are not very fast at farming raptors.
I would recommend going mez secondary. interrupt prevention+degen+slow...

You Probally found an old raptor farm build when Shadow Form still made all attack's miss the skill has been changed though.

The warrior raptor farm is by far superior by evrything i've seen so if you really wanna farm raptors then you might wanna take a look at http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:W/N_Raptor_Farmer

As far as assassin raptor farm build I couldn't find one besides that palm strike one...

Since sf nerf and sliver nerf/fix sins cant really do raptors - also a lot of builds are now outdated , pvx and especially youtube have to be date checked as youtube has vids from a few years ago and people dont realise 99% dont work.

That Warrior raptor farm looks really good but my main problems right now are: I don't have a warrior and I don't have enough money to buy all the required skills since I wasted most of my money on that nerfed SF build.
Could anyone try that Palm Strike build I posted before? It looks like that's the only raptor farming build around which could be working.

You don't have to farm raptors, there are other things out there you can farm. I'm pretty sure Sins can still do Vaettirs with A/Mo.

That would allow you to not roll a war and just get the few monk skills you would need.

And as others have said that is probably an old build. I used to use a different SF Meteor Shower build before they added the damage reduction to SF. It pwnd both Mindblades and Raptors.

If your cash problems are so big that you can't afford skills for a couple builds, I suggest you play normally through the campaigns first. Get max armor, buy a couple skills here and there, experiment, experience the game. Factions and Nightfall both have enough cash rewards that you shouldn't have cash problems to keep rolling forward.

Otherwise you risk becoming another of those who only knew SF farming and ragequit the game when SF got nerfed because supposedly nothing works anymore.

Don't forget, you farm to play the game, and not play the game to farm

Glad you sorted it out and are enjoying your build. But as a comparison, 2k in 2 hours is a horrible $/hr rate. I posted in a different thread that during event weekends, you can be making 1k per minute.

Best of luck.

Wow that's a lot ^^
Well I'm still a rookie farmer so it's not too bad for me, I've made over 20k these 2 days without even playing whole day. Plus the build doesn't work in Hard Mode but, I have already found 2 White Dyes, 1 Black Dye an Elemental Sword and loads of gold/purple/blue items

Oh well as long as I'm enjoying it, that's the most important thing to me.

Not true, at all. I had an Assn/Derv condition degen build over 1 year old, that killed all the raptors - save the boss.

Certainly something similar can still be done, maybe using mesmer skills (non-interrupt and degen). You just need to max degen to 10, and stay alive...

EDIT: You should easily be able to farm 10k per hour with any farm, if you're doing it right - and 50+K/ hour on raptors, if it's a drop event weekend. Otherwise, I guess it's worth farming for Asura rep...

Well the thing is, I'm just unable to kill raptors on HM with this build while I only need 2 attack skills in NM. So do you have any suggestions which may work in HM?

i tested this build today and it works really nice:

A/W
(same usage/build as the W/N)

Hundred Blades /Wary stance/ Whirlwind attack/By ural's hammer!/I am unstopable/protector's defence/Soldiers defence/Shroud of distress.

12 sword mastery
9 tactics
rest in shadow arts

as the W/N you use a hero:

P/N

fall back!/incoming!/ enduring harmony/stand your ground!/make haste!/Mark of pain

12 leadership
3 command
12 curses

this is a bit tricky to use,
go (in HM) to riven earth, get bounty, let hero cast Enduring Harm. on YOU. cast fall back!, incoming! to go to the cave. when at the cave cast shroud of distr. and let your hero cast MoP on one raptor and make sure you target that one!. hero casts Stand Your Ground + Make Haste on YOU, you run and aggro all (most) raptors, run to the boss, and spam skills : 1-4-5-6-7-2-3 and BOOM!!! (make sure you're fast enough so that MoP doesn't end.

Fall Back and Incoming don't stack though. Maybe substitute Godspeed for yet another speed boost from the Command line.
Also you have the person cancel one stance before the other starts according to how it's written.
Perhaps you can go into more detail on why that should happen and when?

1k a minute is a little exxagerated. I average about 800 gold a minutes during events, that includes selling unid golds. Of course you get 2+ k runs here and there but sometimes you get like 2 events items and a white. Depends which events too, easter event = probably more than 1k a minute

For whatever reason though, having both skills active causes the raptors to break aggro. If his hero is casting MoP, then having both speed increases will allow the hero to get away immediately.

Perhaps. I haven't had much need to farm recently so it might have been toned down with some of the changes. Naphui feather farm (probably used to) and Vaettirs (pretty sure still) can approach these numbers on average pretty easily. I'm guessing Raptors are just as high but with a bit more variance as you described.

Either way, it's possible to make a killing relatively quickly and with little effort.
