As he's not in Alcazia, but in Holdings of Choklin, I've gone there and farmed. Zoning in to Vehjin Mines and back in to HoC, rinse and repeat. The Bulltrainers/minotaurs are spirit spammable, with a bit of care. Did a run, got 1 drop of Pillaged Goods killing all. Good thing Nick just wants one for each gift. ._.

The folly of the Nicholas thread split is thus revealed.

Merge this back into the Nick thread where people can find it and it stays relevent, and mods don't have to maintain multiple first posts.

not sure we are even ALLOWED to discuss anything besides farming now.....

I have been playing since before nf came out, and I have yet to ever have a pillaged goods drop for me.....and I have taken about 15 or so characters through that area more than once (4 have gm carto).....so not sure what the actual drop rate is for these, but dont think I will have the time (or want to spend the effort) on such a bad drop rate. (heck until the 2nd half of today the unoffical wiki even had the wrong icon for these!)

Stolen goods!?!? That's a drop in GW??? Well, I vanquished and explored the areas with bull trainers, but never ever even heard of this drop. All I got was tusks or something.
Another week goes by without Nicholas seeing me Ahhhh, the comfort of no farming pressure. Kinda nice really.

Agree. Drop is BS when the same mob only is 1/3 of mob party and drops more than 1 "collectable" item , i saw it before and it was a complete waste of time ( cough*roaringetherheart* cough ). Now , the foe you seek is fairly far from an entrance to a City.

/me blehs.

Not bothering without another 2 clan mates and maybe 1h at max there.

I think it's ridiculous that one mod had a hissy fit one day and decided to reduce discussions in the main thread (people not being sure what to type and what is "acceptable"). How long has the original thread been in existence? Quite a long time! I'm interested in seeing what people got as well as all the other pertinent info.

I think every foe in the game that drops a trophy also drops a salvage item and/or at least one material (common and/or rare). The Pillaged Goods are a salvage item, not a trophy. So the giants are not somehow unusual in dropping more than one item that Nick might request. More than one "collectable" is the rule, not the exception. (Though salvage items are meant to be salvaged, not collected. There are no collectors anywhere in the game -- other than Nick -- who ever ask for anything but trophies.)

If a trophy is something that a collector trades for weapons , armor or something then no , is not like that. Some do , some dont , like for example those Hunting minotaurs drop horns that you can trade for weapons and nothing else , no items , no materials ( wiki state ). I dont know if pillages are collectables , salvage items or whatever but if % are diff , then Anet is pissing us off.
Maybe if this week nic asks for X , that X turns into a Trophy and its % are diff ? bleh ...... anyway with some mobs like ethers and this one , those % are BS.

I killed 19 Bull Trainers (1 and 1/2 runs) and got 1 Pillaged Goods.

Start in Jennur's Horde and head north into Vehjin Mines and hug the west side of the map.

I H/Hed thought the handfull of other mobs until I got to the Bull Trainers.

Solo up the first groups of 4-5 Trainers, call up the H/H and kill the Skree on the other side of the bridge. Send away the henchies and kill the mobs of Trainers, about 6-7 of them. Rinse Repeat.

Agree on this too. Viewing the items people got and discussions was awesome.... now guru is less fun.
