Depends on where you are and what characters you have. The ever popular raptor farming is fast. But any area you can run through solo quickly will drop a fair number of bags. I was just out in the Crystal Desert testing a build and picked up 8.

You might look them up on the wiki. Not a whole lot in the bags that interests me much, but they usually fetch a good price.

I use this build

works very well for getting a lot of loot

For stress-free NM item farming I the do the start of the Gates of Kryta mission (go left past Oink, round the back of the building). Using a PBAoE fire build with Shield of Regeneration as the Elite, it's pretty much autopilot and around 2-3 mins a run.

Decayed Orr Emblems and ToT bags are the prizes

Sometimes I'll kill the first group that comes down the hill for a little variety and to spawn the archers, but generally I find the extra time doing this does not generate enough drops to make it worthwile

Default ToT Bags

I have been using 330 Rit to farm ToT bags atm. I was wondering if there is a better location then insects outside sunspear greathall or if there is another build that would make farming ToT bags much easier for me as a rit. Thanks.

Well since my thread(http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/b...t10455973.html) was closed since here is already a ToT page. I made a Farmsite for the meta high solo farm builds, so if you need suggestions. www.ivo.name

(PS. I mentioned Halloween farming since it is almost halloween, but on the site are just the meta solo farm builds. So it was not only for Halloween farming meaned.)

Got 2.5 stacks of ToT bags from farming Raptors outside Rata Sum. It's a very efficient place to farm event drops. Lots of mobs, easy run, extremely fast.

Also went from r3 Asuran to r5 Asuran (nearly r6) and got about ~100 unid golds.
They also drop dyes like crazy.
This has happened since the event started, I've spoken with farmers that are much more hardcore than me and they had around 3 stacks at the end of the first day.

1: Get a spirit spammer capable character to the Halloween quest "Every bit helps". This is repeatable, gives 10K exp, 25 ToT bags and 1K (Paying for your entrance fee to UW

2: Get this quest and abandon it and then accept it again until you have a shitload of gobstoppers

3: Go to UW. Clear the Chamber killing all Skeles of Dhuum and capping them. If you include most of the skeles in the village in the vale as well you can average about 15 gobstopped skeles per run depending on how quickly you kill the mobs of skeles and how patient you are (you have a minute to recover from capping a skele). Doing a chamber clear plus all the other skeles before the mountains and wastes and before coldfires in vale takes around half an hour give or take.

4: Go to snake mountains or chaos planes if you really want to.

5: Get rewards from zoning out and back in with reward giver. Recommended to do with a character that wants survivor title

Every UW run in this sense (assuming 15 or so gobstopped skeles...To be fair you probably will average more like 12 unless you are good with timing the spirits to kill stuff, because a pbonded skele dies real quick.) will cost you 1 K, half an hour of time and return 50K EXP, 125 Trick or Treat Bags, 5K gold and all the ecto and other nice drops you get from skeles/aatxes etc.

It's better to go with a full human team if possible and just clear the chamber. You'll split the costs of the entrance, and clearing just chamber over and over awards more skeletons than doing a full run trough UW.

But then you also have to split the number of skeletons, no? One skeleton cannot be captured by multiple people. Never tried it with other people in the party.

The party members have appx. 30 secs to capture them before the corpses disappear and ofc every party member can capture the same skeleton.

Srry for my bad english.

whats so great about farming event items from raptors...its less enemies...vaettir may be a good ways to run, but u got 60 vs 40 (raptors) and they are 2 seperate mobs...once u get to the vaettir its kill em all then rezoen rinse repeat...should yield much more oglds and tots..

yes but also less time...
you can do 3 raptor runs while someone else is doing 1 vaettir run....

still i prefer vaettirs cause they drop better gold stuff and better skinned low req shields... (for example crude, oaken, spiked)

cheers

As many people can cap a single skeleton corpse as like.

This has been discussed so many times. I'll sum up the facts I know;
I'm NEVER, EVER longer then 2 minutes in Riven Earth for a single raptor run (from zoning in to typing /resign).
A raptor run is 34 kills.
On a vaettir run, using the fastest build possible, I've NEVER, EVER been able to get the /age function to show 4 minutes standing in front of the portal to norrhart domains, nor is it effective to pull all at once since this simply costs more time then making 2 seperate pulls. The northern half pull is 24 enemies and the southern 36, so you kill far less at once then a raptor farm on the first pull and slightly more on the second pull.

Also, you don't get elite tomes on vaettir farms (the glacial stones don't even come near making up for this). And, but that's just my experience, I've done a crapload of vaettir runs and a crapload of raptor runs, I always have multiple black and white dyes after about 2/3 hours of raptor farming and I've never had more then 3 total black/whites after 2/3 hours vaettir farming.

Vaettirs = simply less kills / minute, and as such less ToTs (or whatever event item) / hour. Raptors are simply more effective.
