Default Granite Farming?

I'm looking to farm some granite so I can get a decent stockpile of powerstones put together (for emergency situations on SCs and VQs where i need instant skill/res sig recharges). What's the best way to farm granite? I've looked through gww and there don't seem to be any great spawns that regularly drop granite or collectibles that can be salvaged into granite.

I believe Stone Scale Kirins outside of Maatu Keep are a common farm for this. They drop granite and their Stone Horn drops salvage into granite as well.

This item does recharge your skills, unlike other items that grant a Morale Boost.

Hulking Stone Elemental in Old Ascalon,
you can do this on many characters,
i think this the best way.

I did 55hp necro (HM)
i also got some ruby's, sapphires from it, and a bunch of goldies

I use the 130 Derv build on Hulking Stone Elementals in Old Ascalon, just outside of Sardelac.

Or at least I did, I haven't done that in about a year. But it's a very easy farm.

I tried it on a 55, works fine. I also tried a spiritspammer, and it´s faster. The occational ruby or sapphire and elite tomes from the 2 bosses and a number of goldies never hurts

Hulking stones has always worked better for me than the kirin.

Be sure to do it in hard mode as they drop a lot more granite than in nm and salvage the lodestones for 1 granite per.

You're partly right, NM Kirin do drop more Granite (per salvage) in less time than HM Stoneys do (but no Charcoal or Rubies ) though their spawns in that location were greatly reduced so it's time to update your info...

The best point now requires a build that can take NecroticTraversal/ConsumCorpse along b/c you have to start in the Arborstone outpost and talk to the gate guard to leave on the gondola. You also need your heroes set up to kill 1 quickly without relying on line of sight skills or projectiles. Once you get down into the water, you flag your heroes back and just forget about them b/c they don't affect your drops once you get out of range of them. Infact the first thing you really wanna do is get over to the Shrine in the south-center for Faction bounty & 3+ pips of health regen. ...then go wild. There's atleast a dozen groups in that quadrant of the map.

You can also put a measure for measure on Healing Ankhs and Accursed Icons (the diamond shaped ones) and salvage granite from those.

This.

Very very easy foolproof farm. You will get lots of granite, charcoal, gold weapons, and maybe an elite tome or two.

Hahah, well it has been a while since I farmed there. I never did hear about the spawn locations changing.

Also, I recommended the Kirins because I, unlike everyone else in the world, always get jack crap from HM elementals.
