hey there,

some time ago, i wanted to max. my sunspear title on my ranger, wich worked very well killing Skrees in Forum Highlands, area next to the outpost: Tihark Orchard. using Quest , seomthing with '.... measures'.

ive made it to the max quite fast, really fast actually, using whirlwind, By Urals Hammer,Escape,I am Unstoppeble,Shadow Sanctuary,Mental block and some more that fit ... i did about 11 dmg/hit with whirling, wich was good enough to kill em before they remove my stance. i could solo this quite good, in HM.

now, i would like to use those skrees agian to max. my sunspear title on my assassin... wich is something else...

ive tested sevral builds... solo they all failed... way to much dmg.
so ive brought in 2 bonders wich gave me olmost every single monk bond.
but still i take from every hit 30+... wich is deadly to me

i only do 6 dmg with whirlwind... wich is just not enough (sometimes lucky its enough... but thats like 5%)

ive tried whirlwind, sliver,100B sin, VwK,55hp sin ... all failed cause of the many rupts, dmg and stance removal...

any ideas of you guys? (i would like me to kill them, heros ok for buffing (heal party or so, but no henchies or team kills).

i have to ask but why farm skree for ss points when theres several alts - 1 is wurms outside gates of des .. grab undead bounty and work anticlockwise killing the undead untill you finish the top middle mob - then go for boss for max bonus. run usually takes 10 - 15 mins and gives around 500 ss points and i maxed ss on 2 chrs this way.2nd is also wurm but doing the normal ss/lb farm outside remains but 2 quests are needed - show of force and reqium for a brain and that takes anywhere from 10 - 20 mins a run and does around 600 points on both.

as this skree run gives much more pts then the wurm... i had this on my ranger in about 3-4 days max... (starting from 5K to 50K) it was really fast, fun and easy... got some gold drops there to... with wurms it takes awhile, its boring and i never get good stuff... so id prefer 'helping' me instead of all just saying go wurm style...

dunno if you could do this solo as sin and "do the killing", but could you possibly do a/e with SF to ball em' up and let a nec hero SS them to death? (sorry if stupid suggestion)

Check out SS/LB farm on wiki. It would be alot faster.

However, to answer your question, I farmed the skree for the wings wen they where Nick's items. I was running a Jagged/Fox/Death Blossom Build with flashing blades. Also had Crit Defences, Crit Agility, aaaaaaaaaaand the 75% block + regen shadow arts skill i think.

Had a Necro/Monk hero bonding me with Life Bond, Strength of Honor, Balth Spirit and Watchful Spirit. The necro also brought Order of the Vampire.

I cant remember if I did NM or HM but it worked for getting the wings.

yeah, if all you want to do is max SS, then do the SS/LB farm, or just vanquish all the SS areas with full h/h, I don't see the obsession with doing it only by killing skree

anyway, ive made a build that works very good now, using bonders, i can kill all skrees in 4 min +-, wich are about 45 and 8 pts /skree and +8 pts/skree when killing a boss, and i ofc kill one...

45 * 8 = 360 pts
45 * 16 = 720 pts
____________________ -> in (average) 5 min. you get pts between 360 and 720,
thats min. 4320 pts/hour and max. 8640 pts/hour.
Max sunspear = 50 000 pts.
when you reach this mission, you prolly got already 10K SS pts.
so 40 000 / 6480 (average pts/hour) = 6,1 Hours...
so lets say with a bit of practise first and some fail you got max SS in 8 hours (for sure)
i think it is faster as SS/LB farmz...

Im a bit confused with your sums - you realise on a boss theres a catch - you have a limit on the awarded bonus and it usually applies to 25 killed.And i think the max bonus for hm is 200 points.Check out http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Bounty should explain it better than me
