Default Where to farm tomes??

So I did a search, but it looks like most if not all the threads are old. I'm looking to farm reg-monk tomes. In any case, if people want to compile a list of all places to farm both reg and elite tomes I will keep this thread updated. Just leave a post if you think that would be beneficial to the community.

Default A few of mah favorite farms.

One place for Elite/Reg monk tomes would be Keshel the Voracious and the 3 Rinkhal Monitors right outside Blacktide Den. The drop rate seems to be lower there but its easy to farm (pull her away as the Rinkhal Monitors spawn) and then kill the 3.

For an Elite War tome The Afflicted Guard quest is very easy as it only has the War boss Afflicted Guardsman Chun to fight. After doing just abandon in once back in Kaineng and repeat.

The "3 Boss Arborstone (explorable)" is one of the best as it has a Nec, Ele then Monk boss. Something like the direction shown on the map. Right as you enter the area (from Altrumm Ruins ofc) go right up against the wall and look in that direction, you should see the one mob you have to kill. If it shows a Warden of Spring just zone back in, as its much harder to get past.

The Sickened Animals in Minister Cho's Estate can sometimes drop Reg War tomes so thats also an easy possibility to farm.

I use the Standard SoS build for all these farms but im sure they are done on others, i just find it faster. Swap Pain for Disenchantment when doing the "3 Boss Arborstone (explorable)" farm as Meril Stoneweaver has enchants that really should be removed or youl be there all day :O

For normal tomes the easiest is to farm Mantids outside Naphiu Quarter in HM. Get a terra ele and have fun....they also may drop celestials and other canthan weapons.

build: glyph of swiftness, Obsidian flesh, stone flesh aura, ebon vanguard standard of honor, sliver armor, radtiation, field, mantra of the earth, stone striker.

To kill the monks u have to divide the whole aggroo into 2 different groups: one of the monks and one of the necros. Since the have different attack range they will divide by themselves if u step backwards carefully. Once they are divided u can sliver ONE BY ONE the monks, then u go for the necros.

There is no need to be like that with someone who was trying to help you.

FYI:A lot of those farm spots listed are still very much viable

Thanks for letting me know they still help, it was just the remark about searching when in my first post I said I searched and it was only old threads I found. So I was annoyed and I think somewhat rightly so.

Even though those threads are old, they still list locations with large groups of professions that can still be farmed. You may need to adapt the builds used due to skill updates, most notably Shadow Form and Sliver Armor. Tomes are not new, so the date is somewhat irrelevant. Also the Assassins in Halcyon Job have their attack chain fixed, so you need to account for their knockdown. Or just blow up raptors, since that is faster.
