Default Holiday Collector Items

With Wintersday soon approaching, I find myself wondering what everyone else's preferences on farming are for those lovely trade worthy items.

Personally, I prefer to farm Grawl for their necklaces. What do you like doing? What do you find most efficient?

If I remember right, someone actually did a study a couple of years ago and found that farming Grawl necklaces was the most efficient way to get holiday items.

Can anyone provide some info on what place to farm them?
I searched the forum and youtube, but could not find any reliable topics.

For sheer quantity of (Prophecies) Grawl packed into an easy-to-reach location, you can't really beat Witman's Folly. Just avoid the eastern coast where most(?) of the Imps (along witht their bosses) spawn.

Wrong grawl, Ogre. For Wintersday you need Ornate Grawl Necklaces, which drop from low-level grawl in Ascalon.

The best place to farm those is Eastern Frontier, between Ruins of Surmia and Frontier Gate. There is nothing along that run but grawl, and lots of them. A decent solo build (I run an earth ele with Shockwave) can clear them all in four minutes. You end up with a stack of necklaces about every three hours.

I dunno about any study analysis that may have been performed in the past...

But my personal favorites are the Charr outside Piken Square (sentimental reasons), and the huge hidden undead spawn in Gates of Kryta. Set the pig up to tank, nuke, collect, repeat. I think a stack of emblems is possible in no more than 2 hours that way.
