So I know there's all these builds out there used to farm dust and feathers and whatever, but is there any area/foes that drop items that can be salvaged into tons of iron? I'd rather not buy large amounts of iron for all my cons crafting to get a lesser amount of profit. Pretty sure just some weapons like swords and spears can yield iron, but anything that drops those more often?

on the front page, i use it to farm iron, they are just talking about rare weps but nearly everything there salvages into iron.

DOA is another option. Do a regular DOA run in a pug or with friends. After its finished stay behind and loot. There is this overwhelming amount of crap that is left behind by people since usually you must hurry before the cons run out. Last night I din just the Veil because it was ZB , after completion I popped a merchant stone, and looted the place and merched all the bows and talon daggers and salvaged most of the rest. I got almost a stack of iron and roughly 5k cash from merching. Plus you get nice gems you can sell and buy more iron for

Also remember to check the blue and purple shields left behind, you might find a 7-15 or 8-16 that is valuable.
