Default question regarding Hm vaettir farming

Hi I just recently started Hm vaettir farming with my Dervish
(Here is a link to the page that has my build http://www.gwpvx.com/Build/any_HM_Vaettir_Farmer)
I have finally gotten the hang of it all and can kill vaettirs with ease but my problem is that in the link I provided at the bottom of the page there is a video of him showing how to run the build, and when he kills the vaettirs he gets what looks like 3 golds in that one run... I on the other hand have done 3 or 4 runs and gotten 1 gold, is he really lucky, or am I just really unlucky
Another question 2 is, is it better to farm the vaettir's then go back to Longeye's Ledge and run back to Jaga Moraine or can I just zone out to Bjora Marches and zone back into Jaga Moraine (which one will result in better drops)
And question 3 is, is it more profitable to sell the glacial stones, or to salvage them for dust and sell that?

Thanks for everything!!

1. answer this yourself, i mean, that's not a real question imo
2. It's better to zone in and out, it's waaaaaay longer to run it every time again, and you won't have any profit of it
3. Depends, glacial stones won't sell that fast as far as i know and dust does. Idk how much you dust get from 1 stone. If you know someone who wants to buy them, sell them, otherwise salvage imo.

Hope this helps ^_^

1 Some runs give great drops others nearly nothing
2 rezone every time the run there takes longer then the farm
3 i only keep golds to id whites, blues and purples get salvaged for materials for cons

1 you'll notice that you'll go on streaks of good runs with vaettirs and longer streaks of bad runs (at least in my experience)
2 rezone every time, bring some merch stones to sell blues and purples, salvage whites, save golds to sell as unids (7=5k)
3 Answered above.

VAettir and raptor farms are best left for event drops. Glacial stones do sell but slowly. Easter and Birthday farming is coming up so profit won't be hard.

Imo if you are farming them for the drops then you are better off farming somewhere else like minister chos. Even on lucky runs from vats you still only get a couple unids. However, with the exp for survivor and norn points at the same time this I better for your titles.

I was using that build last night to get Legendary Survivor on my Dervish. As far as gold drops go, it's pretty much luck. Some runs I would get hardly any, the next I'd get a bunch. There were a few where killing the first half got me no drops and then I'd get a half-dozen drops from the other half.

And don't waste your time running back and forth, just bring with some merchant stones and zone back and forth.

Amount of golds that drop are luck based.
I went with my wife ( due to hand injury ) and she let me leech and get a few drops , for 3 runs we had nothing , several golds for a few runs after then on an off golds .
Slightly off topic but relevant in a way - i did around 10 halycon job runs on my rit and shes not farmed or been there for months and in those 10 runs i had only 2 golds drop so in comparison you can see its def luck.

A trick thats usually discussed with vaetires is the following
1. run to jaga etc
2. farm them till full and either salv the stuff u dont want into mats or pop a merch stone
3. i go by the rule of only 2 merch stones usage coz drops may start to get worse by now
4. after the last merch stones used and again your full map to longeyes and sort inv.
5. repeat *

*its repeated as there is some evidence that if your drops lessen take your farming chr somewhere else for a few runs , the server may see this as going elsewhere and not farming same spot.I usually run bk to jaga as you have gone outpost then zone then jaga and sometimes ( note sometimes ) it will improve drops.
Personally i tend tobe sneaky and find a place thats easily runnable - eg seitung harbor > trail > courtyard then shing jea monestry and run bk , may be up to you to find a similar run - only takes a few mins but it seems to improve drops.
