Default For Rits who do Chaos Planes in UW

On your way to the chaos planes, do you just wait out the traps after killing the behemoths? Did you have problems reaching the chaos planes when you first started?

I've been duo-farming the UW with my friend, we run SoS / SGM / Arcane Mimicry, but haven't started on the chaos planes. We do just fine everywhere else, until we get into the mountains, because eventually, one of us is going to trigger traps and die (usually him). We've tried getting near the traps and summoning spirits to trigger them for us, but due to the traps being invisible and all, we had a few problems with this. We could wait them out, but we often underestimate the duration and blow up (again, all his fault and I have nothing to do with it).

I always skip those..

bring a +30 spear and a +30 shield with +10 vs. piercing damage and you should be fine.

besides, they drop stuff that's hardly worth the trouble imo.

run past the behemots, kill the charged blacknesses. When you path is blocked and your afraid to die.. you can kill the behemoth and try to trigger the traps by quickly rushing in and out. Or 1 of you should take a res skill, flesh of my flesh will do.. the 1 triggers the traps while the other resses.
can bring sweets to counter dp but i don't think thats necessary in dual spirit spam..

How exactly do you skip / run past the behemoths? They do quite a bit of damage and block paths, and we can't sacrifice our builds for run skills.

You can kill them quite easily, just spam your spirits from a little distance, but where they can still hit them. Then you can just wait about one and a half minute till their traps go away and you'll be fine.

If you're going to kill them be sure to wand them to interrupt Healing Spring. If you're soloing, interrupt one, then tab to the next and repeat. If running duo, pick one and keep wanding them. Also helps to interrupt some of their traps.

as they attack in ranged, their attacks can easily be dodged.. also you could somehow make them attack your spirits... i dont know how but I usually manage, even solo(:

get a shield vs. piercing damage..
