Hello everyone!

Alright. I know this is a bit of an old topic, and I apologize for iterating/re-iterating, on the subject, but a lot of the threads I saw in regards to this particular subject were a bit old, and wanted a fresh one.

Granite Slabs, where to farm them, how to farm them. They are definately a sought after material, as I myself need 2,500 of them for Destroyer Weapons for my HoM. Yes, I'm making a full set of Destroyer Weapons.

What I've been reading is that people really like to farm outisde of Sardelac Sanitarium for GS's, and I agree, I do it myself all the time. The way I accomplish it, is by pure damage reduction, seeing as how they're pure Melee, I also utilize this build OQMU4inGV6S8V9FTN7gFF3VrEyDA, which I made myself btw.

But my issue with this run, is that due to the Crown of Thorns in the Western side of Old Ascalon, I can only farm one half of the map, you'd be surprised how easily one or two of those little buggers can make your life miserable. I also dislike, seeing as how I farm this a lot, that my drop rates have gone down the toilette, effectively making this run a bit slow.

Now. I know that you can farm DCores for GS's, but I'd like to try and farm something that specifically, like the Hulking Elementals, drop GS's as well as an item, such as the Stone Carving(s) that the stone creatures in Arborstone drop. I don't know if it's possible though to farm the stone creatures (Stone Rain, Stone Soul, Stone Crusher, and Stone Reaper) in Arborstone (Explorable). Or if they even drop GS's. But whilest doing the AS Mission, I recieved a Carving, and it salvaged into 7 GS's, so I thought it might be worth it.

With that said. I've tried figuring out how to farm the stone creatures there, but with no luck. I've also looked into farming the Destroyer's in Glint's, but most of the builds I see people using, are with an Assassin, which I don't have, I also don't have an Elementalist. I could make them easily, but I'm trying to refrain from spending any money, as I need quite a bit of it to get my weapons crafted, 500k+ in materials, which is why I'm farming.

So. If anyone could shine some light on my situation, post a build, post a spot that they like farming for GS's, (Aside from Hulking Elementals in Old Ascalon please. :P) I'd greately appreciate it.

More specifically, if anyone knows a way of farming stone creatures in Arborstone (solo) then by all means, post away.

Check out the Glints AFK Challenge Farm, you use your heroes to take out the full mission in under 20 minutes, you simply come back after 20minutes, pick up your drops and open the chest. You only need to use EoE once then you can go afk.

Also i used to farm Hulking Stone Elementals + the 2 Bosses on my warrior using a build with riposte etc.

not really a farm per se, but the golem runestones from Oola's salv to granite. not uncommon to get 7-12 of those per run.

Hulking Stone elementals in old ascalon are an easy one - just take anything that can tank and deal dmg at the same time can kill em. Avoid grawl

Stone Skale Kirin - Go to Maatu Keep I believe and go into pogmie valley
You need any good tank/damage build aswell.
I personally use my derv for both - I don't have any build available at the moment.

another place good for granite is farming golems and their runestones from oola's
derv works for both as said, sos works ofc,
golems you can pretty much farm with any common solo build as long as you have anti-kd

Way ive found to get granite funny enough is by doing factions and residing in kurz lands that have kirin and the wardens - kirin either drop it or its in their horns and wardens have their horns ... i think ( its early for me and brain hasnt had its caffeine wake up call yet ).
Hulks outside ascalon i gave up on - they must have hated me badly as i spend just under an hr doing them and only got 10 granite.

Warden horns salvage into bone, but you're right on stone horns

Well. I gave that one Kirin farm a try, and it's alright I suppose. Seeing as how they're are only 5-6 small groups of Kirin with which to acquire GS's, I got about the same amount of GS's as the Hulk run, only difference is, I got them in the span of about 10 minutes, which is really good.

The only problem I have with that particular Kirin run, is that if you aggro anything else, at least for me, you can get overwhelemed really easily. But regardless it's still doable, so thanks once again JewFroKid.

As for Oola's, I haven't tried it yet. My Warrior hasn't done much in EotN, so... I haven't made it to Rata Sum yet on her, lol. So whilest I'm sure you do get a lot of GS's from running Oola's, I just gave up on trying to farm GS's as I only had 3 stacks of them, and was in need of 10... So I just caved and bought the rest.

Now, time to try and find a way to farm Rock, and Rain Beetles for Geode's so I can get Diamonds... As for Onyx Gemstones... They're cheap enough I think to where I'll just buy them all, lol. Thanks for all the feedback everyone, y'all never cease to amaze me at helpful the GW community really is.
