Default Where do I farm Granite?

I've looked through the forum and everyone says farm the Hard Mode Elementals. So I did that, and I got like 8 granite in a run. The scorched lodestones they drop only come back into 1 granite and I think I'm either doing it wrong or that the farm is pathetically slow. I need to get 500 granite and so I was wondering if anyone knows a faster way? If its a weapon to salvage maybe tell me a place to farm where they commonly drop? Help appreciated in advance

I typically do Oola's Lab for granite, the golem stones turn into lots of it

typically 6-7 granite per. depending on my luck I can get a stack of granite in one run through of the dungeon. Bonus is whatever I get out of the end chest :P

Those Hulking Stone Elementals all over Ascalon drop a lot of granite, especially if you do it in HM. 55 Monks and Necros work very well against them.

Yeah, thats what I 55'd. I was using SV and it seriously wasn't worth the time considering they only dropped 1 scorched lodestone which salvages to 1 granite slab (They dont drop granite themselves).

Yeah, i've been running a E/Me Earth tank/Sliver Armor. And I've been getting rather rich over the high price of Granite these days. But i've noticed the price dropping a bit, I swore the price was over 300/10 a few days ago, now it's about 250/10 or w/ever. Which is telling me, there are a good amount of folks farming it besides me.

Anybody know what was driving the price way up?

Back when I needed some granite, I liked doing the Stone Scale Kirin right outside of Maatu Keep in Pongmei Valley.

They are right outside the door and the solo build was really fast. They drop granite slabs in stacks of 5 - 10 (IIRC) and they also drop alot of Stone Horns which salvage into 5 - 7 granite each.

Sorry, I don't remember the build right off hand but, you should be able to find it on PvXWiki pretty easy.

Actually its the VS Farm that's driving the price up. With all the Onyx and Diamonds that are dropping from the Slaver's Chest, everyone wants to make destroyer weapons! Each destroyer weapon needs 250 granite slabs

Monoliths drop inscribed shards which salvage into 6-8 granite, plus you can grind at your lightbringer title at the same time. Sandstone Crag & Shambling Mesas also drop lodestones which can be salvaged to granite.

Been farming them since I started do VS runs with my ele. Get any where from 0-75 granite a run, usually its around 25 or so. The build is a slight variation of the PvX build called Savannah Heat farmer (Armor of Earth isn't needed for Hulkings) Might also try the stone Kirin in Pongmei Vally.

The HM Ascalon stone elemental farming gets you granite, chitin, dye, charcoal, tomes, lockpicks and the occasional ruby. Don't bother salvaging the lodestones or the carapaces, cost ratio is bad.

I just pick up the stackable drops and sell for additional gold to the merchant.
Mostly I do this run when there are special drops, but it's an easy source for granite.

I've been farming in Pongmei Valley for the past two weeks. Here's a picture showing what items you can get for example (and where to lure enemies):

(btw the run took 4 minutes just because I was afk for 2 minutes before I started the run )

Usually run takes about 2 minutes and enemies can drop 16-18 Granite at once, Stone Horns which can be salvaged for 5-7 Granite, Marble Hammers which can also be salvaged for Granite and golden items once in a while. They can also drop some good skins like Echovald Shield, Gothic, Amber Aegis and so on.

I've been using the following build if someone wants to know:
[SF Pongmei Farmer;OwVUE4h5l/S8ILB6Msg2grAmA4OA]

I tried few runs with A/E fire nuker and it's doable in 2-4 minutes but I still don't like the fact that they flee when their hp gets low. It makes the run times fluctuate quite a bit.
If someone knows a way to prevent them from fleeing please tell me. (I tried Caltrops and Grasping Earth but it's not enough imo)
