I've tried my best to do as much research as possible for this but I can barely find anything about this sword. I've been in love with this sword for years and I would really like to get a gold, max one in Q8.

So far, the only information I know is that Q8's drop much more frequently in NM. Best chances are from foes level 16-20(?).

Sunqua blades drop all over Shing Jea Island but the only foes that are level 16 and above are dragon lillies and the afflicted in Zen Daijun. Doubt they drop from Afflicted. I tried my luck with the Dragon Lillies but so far have only gotten 2 purples which were both Q5.

GuildWiki claims that they drop from luxon chests. Really? Any confirmed drops? I tried quite a number and haven't gotten a single one.

I've tried chest running in NM and HM in Sunqua Vale and Kinya Province (wiki documented a number from here) and have had no luck so far.

Basically, I'm at a loss on where I could farm/chest run for a chance at a Q8 Sunqua Blade. Really don't know whether NM or HM would be better for something on Shing Jea Island. Could Dragon Lillies drop them at Q8?

On another note, would the added monsters from the Dragon Festival drop Canthan weapons like the Sunqua Blade (with possibility of Q8)?

I got one (q9, max, 14^50) from mantis outside Ran Musu: don't remember if was nm or hm (believe nm). You could also try in feather farming runs (java) isn't rare find golds with low reqs: dunno if sunqua drops there tho, and probably would be more a q5-6 than a max q8 anyway.

I think that I recall getting some sunqua blades when I chestran in MQ, but I think it was in the yeti area. As you probably know, chests drop weapons are dependent on what enemies are around said chests. Therefore, because yetis are also present on shing jea, it would make sense for them (and therefore, their chests) to drop sunqua blades.

I had a q9 +5 energy sunqua blade for awhile that I used as a caster weapon, but ended up selling it eventually. I believe that I did, in fact, get this blade on Shing Jea though.

don't forget Quivering Blade. Just farm him on a green weapon weekend...hopefully you don't have WoC or it's over by that time LOL.

Farming Sunqua Vale in HM is your best bet,I remember farming the Oni and naga a year or two back when I needed some cash. Had a q10 15^50 and q9 20<50 drop.

It would be a terrible tragedy if this was true. Outta curiousity, why wouldn't they drop anymore? I don't recall any update that would have done this.

I'm still trying my luck at dragon lillies and I may move on to yetis aswell. I hope that someone can confirm their current existance. I don't wanna have to spend thousands of ectos for one.

theres a possibility they may drop but its highly unlikely

req8 sunqua +5e/15^50 might cost you anywhere from 100e-250e or abit more

your best bet would be farming Nagas in Shing Jea
they drop them a lot
but no way u'd get a r8 max one from them in NM(way too low lvl for that)

so u should aim to HM
but lowest level would be 22 there ( Naga Welp)
there's a slight possibility of a r8 max one

also be sure to farm this quest heavily each year

and tons of uninsc sunquas drop
(as well as Bo Staves and -yes , it's true,i've got one there-
uninscript Obsidian/Orrish skin Staves)
now , the hrs of farming needed to get a max r8 one
might be rly a lot...just to get an e.g. 14% vs hexed one

i don't think it's worth the effort , but that's just me

I've done a couple of chest runs at the yeti's in pongmei but most of my drops are jade weapons. Looks like they are using the drop tables from the jade sea.
