Angry Mesmer Vaettir Farm issues

I have been using this build from PvX with no success, then again I have been trying only for a few hours.

http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:Me/A_Vaettir_HM_Farmer

My issue I think is SF running out and then even with Feigned Neutrality and Shroud of Distress I take too much damage even with SF up and get overwhelmed. I do have max armor and runes of vitae as suggested. Same with equipment. I did notice however in the first bar the attributes don't work out properly in game when I set it up.

Is there a working way to do this without the Norn skill as I do not have it yet which could be part of my problem but I am thinking somehow that can be worked around.

Any ideas for me? Or anywhere else I can farm efficiently with anything but an Assassin?

That build is outdated, and you should use blessed, not vitae,

Use that one, just take in the norn skill or any other sin enchant.

FWIW so is the site.

Please take note that PvX is no longer a reliable source of build information.

In October 2010, a copy (or fork) of this wiki was established at www.gwpvx.com. Since then, most of the community has moved over there and [email protected] is now receiving little to no attention from active editors.

As a consequence, the information presented on this site is getting more and more outdated. The ongoing changes in the game and in the metagame require continuous maintenance regarding both our skill descriptions and the design, description and categorisation of the builds presented here. Moreover, experienced editors are missing who could help new contributors with the formatting of their submissions in order to make them accessible and useful for interested readers.

In this situation, information found on [email protected] should be taken with caution.
The correct site to use is: GWPvX

Blessed are insignia's and Vitae are runes - take both

But they are right use gwpvx. Also make sure to re-cast Shroud and Feigned as soon as they are ready as the effect of them on sf stacks.

Thanks for the new wiki link. I will give it a shot, and I did forget to mention I have full blessed insignias on my armor.

If SF is running out then you ether don't have 12 in shadow, not activating it correctly on recharge or aren't using 20% enchant weapon. As for taking damage, do you have earth resist armour and shield?

Personally, I prefer Mantra of Earth over Channeling. For me, it's more reliable with energy because you can cast it and just watch your numbers go up. Just make sure you cast it directly after SF is done and the recharge times sync up. It also has the benefit of dmg reduction. Channeling seems to be more popular, though, so take that with a grain of salt.

Im also mantra of earth user - reason i prefer it over channelling is that when its used any of the dmg i take whilst balling the mobs is instant energy - channelling only works when they are in close range and when they dwindle in number via say bad pull you will avoid energy issues.
Infact i can use the same vaetires build for farming snowmen with mantra of frost instead of earth and i dont even need to be near foes to kill them and get energy.
