Default Solo ranger/monk build help

I'm a level 20 ranger/monk. I'm soloing as a 105 ranger in areas with level 10-20 foes (currently the Margo Coast/Arkjok Ward areas), but i keep getting wiped out. Here's my build:

Attributes:

13 Marksmanship
10 Healing Prayers
8 Protection Prayers

Skills:

1. Barrage
2. Balthazar's Spirit
3. Mending
4. Protective Spirit
5. Spirit Bond
6. Reversal of Fortune
7. Vigorous Spirit
8. Healing Breeze

Other stuff:

> Damage towards me is low with each hit, but in such quick succession from the mobs that more health is drained than restored (wearing Ranger Tyrian armor 70). Not sure what I'm doing wrong here as several enchantments are active while taking damage.

> Spirit Bond isn't helping because foes are hitting for less than 50.

> I tried both 105 and 55 Ranger/Monk to no avail.

> Just want to solo farm for gold/items.

So any idea on what I could do to stay alive and solo farm? Thanks.

Why are you using a 105 ranger with barrage? There's more than a few options that are by far superior.

Use Shield Of Absorption instead of Spirit Bond. Make sure to have enchantment lengthening and lots of points in Protection Magic. Use Shielding Hands instead of Reversal of Fortune to cover any down time on Shield of Absorption. That should do the trick.

If you decide you want to keep Spirit Bond, then just drop Reversal of Fortune for Shield Of Absorption instead.

Oh, and on the subject of Spirit Bond; It's more efficient the lower your armour is; So if running it in a build like that you probably want the lowest AL Ranger Armour you can get hold off; Not the highest as you are using.

It also goes without saying, but make sure your enchantments aren't being removed, too. Protective Spirit must be up all the time.

Maybe he enjoys it? Or it's his only level 20 character? We don't all play to min-max. Some of us like to play certains builds or classes for other reasons; But that doesn't mean we don't want to optimise the efficiency of those builds as much as we can while keeping within the same theme.

That would be true if this wasn't in the farming section.

105 Ranger Barrage is better than naked 55 wammo, but that's not saying much. Both of them can be made to "work," but you'll be able to earn far more faster using different builds. If you want to solo farm for drops and gold, there are much better methods and builds available for Ranger, including builds that are effective in hard mode.

If you really want to continue this build, add Ebon Battle Standard of Honor. Disregard if you lack Eye of the North.

Another problem you may face could be said to be a flaw in a 105/130 hp ranger - if you have low armor you have to also consider the inherant +30 ar vs elemental damage. So places without foes that use elemental dmg is a must .Dervs had the same probs with the extra hp.

I solo things with my trusty pet. It's not the best build, and it can't kill anything in HM, but it's way more fun then spamming spirits. (or enchantments, in this case)

Been doing that on my ranger last week , farming jade brotherhood foes outside market place in nm for jade bracelets - actually had for first time in 5 yrs jadeite shards drop - well 3 tbh , 2 on first run and 1 on last run.

There are a few solo ranger farms outthere - snowmen lair , dragon moss farming, ice imp farming ( outside droks ) , fire imp farming - all these are hm farms and details should be here on guru somewhere.
