Yeh, ive never gotten a req8 in HM, had plenty from NM chests, get plenty from Canthan chests, but they always seem to be purple

Still, il never give up running for a req8 paper fan

the mental adrenaline rush keeps me going, so i keep searching :P

thx for the advice guys. just wanna give u some info about how i run, some of you thought i should farm enough money for lockpicks but money isnt a problem for the moment. I'm in a faction farming alliance so most of the time we own a town in the jade sea, so lockpicks cost 1200g and luxon keys cost 480g, so 100k gets me either about 80 lockpicks or 180 luxon keys, since im going for wisdom as well i use the golds i get, in HM i tend to get 4-6 elite tomes per 80 lockpicks, so if those tomes are rit ones (but i doubt it) it pays back the money :P when i use 180 lxon keys i merch the drops and get about 50k total, so its a weird situation, after all 180 luxon keys means 180 treasure points, 80 lockpicks means 100-110 treasure points + 50% more golds than NM

This. I thought I was done at GWAMM...then comes the HoM update...then I thought I was done at 50/50...then I start chestrunning...now, I don't know if I'll ever be done!! At least not until I get a perfect dual-mod q9 echovald, or any perfect dual-mod canthan skin shield for that matter. I've had a few q9-10's goldie canthan shields drop in the past few days, alas they were monomod, but I think I'm getting closer

In fact, yesterday while farming dragon moss, three golds dropped includiong two gold shields- q9 gothic defender, and q10 ornate - from the same 12-member dragon moss group I think I've killed 500 times lol, and yes I nearly pooped my pants! Day before that, a mono-mod q9 strength spiked targe out of the sin pop-ups chest near the mantids outside naphui quarter. But it's that moment of closing your eyes and making that little wish in your head before id'ing one is what keeps me going. Of course the dual drop ones were both shite mono-mod (and yes I do hold them to at least check for +30 before id'ing), but that won't stop me.

I've had several q8 11-21 purple staffs drop when HM vermin chest running, and a couple purple q8/12 foci when running NM chests, still waiting for the q8 max dmg drop^^

This is just how uninscr shields work. I've gotten more singlemods than dualmods, get along with it.

Reah's Crater HM always amuse me a lot when chest running...it's so entertaining!

u just need can't touch this + SF + dwarven stability and dash...but drops really sucks a lot, mostly armor pieces and jade junk..

I found the hardmode pongmei valley chest run to be really good, so far I've gotten two q9 dualmod goth defenders and a dualmod q9 str echovald shield. Its only a matter of time til I get something great

It's easy Bright: start from Seafarer Rest, exit and die! If u don't have more luxon factions u'll be ressed in the middle of the map....right near res shrine there's a chest 9/10 times. It's 30 second run. Outcast drops are possible, but mostly are jade sheet...

Then there are some chests on the way to Monk boss and near Oni bridge.

Yeh make sure you have more kurzick faction and there is usually a chest where you res, i find HM to be better for a chest spawn, running the whole area can be a pain becuase the sins cripple, but if you manage to get past them with any hassle its usually pretty easy.

im pretty lazy and just get the one at the res shrine, i usually swap from seaferers to Aurios Mines, as i tend to find going from one place several times changes the chest location, but thats just me =D.

Same as Pongmei, i start from matu keep and head towards tanglewood for quick kurzick rares

90% of the time i find theres a chest.

Also start from the market place and head into Wajjun Bazaar, the islands bit to the left that has 3 entrances usually has 1 - 3 chests, dont bother with Nm though, make sure to take SF, in HM they can pack a punch

Have gotten paper fans and paper lanterns here.

SF, can't touch this, fallback, dwarven stability, dash, I am unstoppable, death charge, optional...

u can do all run with this

actually i got rank 10 at Norn and Dwarfs so it's pretty impossible to get crippled...

soon i will be vqing arborstone alot while working on my kurz title and was going to try and make some money along the way. Do you think for every 100k i spend on 80 lockpicks that i would profit for the most part?

Yes, retain anything you think is of value, and ask for PC on guru. Elite tomes can be sold off for insta profit.

PONGMEI VALLEY FULL RUN HM/NM

route/chest spawns

equipment
full blessed, superior shadow+headpiece, vitae runes/attunement your choice

skills i use are:

shadowform
i am unstoppable[optional]
cant touch this[optional]
dash
dwarven stability
dark escape
shadow sanctuary
feigned neutrality[optional]

optional skills:
natural stride -switch to /r
fallback
shadow of haste
shadow shroud
deaths charge
heart of shadow
or whatever you feel is necessary

notes
bring 7 heroes preferbably 3-5 with paragon / warrior shouts for ms boost, mostly for the constant 33% and meat shields, doesnt matter if they die at the start, build can handle with ease

put sf on when running into plagueborn or wallows probably the only thing that can come close to kill you

use cant touch this against wallows

undergrowth/wallow, use iau, keep ds up, use darkescape to bait his wild blow, then hit dash and break agro

and i suggest paragon so u can bring a shield

i suggest my set of skills

runs should average 3-4 minutes

can get 4-5 chests in 2 mins with good spawns

run should easily be done in under 5 mins

you can always just sprint to tanglewood and go for echo chests only, but id probably go for am fah and jade brotherhood chests aswell

So far from using about 500 keys in pongmei I've got 2 jugs, 3 echovald shields & 1 paper fan. Paper fan was from the chest next to the fungal wallows near the start, jugs both from chests next to kirin/dragon moss. No bo staffs yet though.

I was wondering has anyone got any bo staff or paper fan from chest running Shadow Passage?
