tyvm for answering I couldn't find that info on wiki..

I've read the last 10 pages of this thread and it seems most recommend Mirror of Lyss and Poisoned Outcrops for chest running in Elona so I think I'll go with those zones, thanks!

So I heard someone talking about a chest in bukdek byway that's supposed to give an almost 100% chance of plagueborn items, close to kaineng city. So far I haven't been able to find the chest though and was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers as to where I could find said chest? Thanks in advance! <3

Leave Kaineng and keep to the left all the way to this Plagueborn chest. Take a left at the first corner and head up a ramp, across a short bridge and right there is a group of Plagueborn fighting guards. The chest spawns right in that group. The closer you get to the group more will pop up from the hole in the groud. Take running skills and some heros with party wide speed boosters. Charge warriors and a paragon similar to the one used for 100b raptor warrior runners. Hit that chest fast for those mobs hit hard in HM. A shield with armor vs fire helps a little bit. It seems HM produces more gold items and its also nice to score elite tomes. Good luck and have fun

Do you need a certain quest for them to spawn? ive run around the whole area and have yet to find any mobs there or a chest :/

Managed to find the chest after all, wasn't getting close enough to the group of mobs to spawn the chest, ty!

I'm guessing the two quests used for the speed vanquish (Chasing Zenmai / Drunken Master) keep the mobs from spawning / keep the chest from spawning. Correct me if I'm wrong though ^^

good run, farmed about 75 goldplagueborn[excluding armors] items in 2 hours

its about 75%spawn rate

what im really after is the plagueborn shields, had about 5 of them drop, tested them but still id'd it after knowing theres no hp mods in hope for some dual mods.

so far about 20 runs...very, very quick btw - BUT, only about a 30% spawn rate (only spawned 6 times). 2 grapes, 4 golds (2 of which were armors) oh, and a 100% broken lockpick rate

i'll keep trying though because i'm a degenerate gambler lol

EDIT: getting better, about 30 more chests and spawn rate is nearer to 60% (spawned about 20 times), still shitty retention rate of about 20% though (r4 lucky, r5 unlucky)

Yeah i seem to have bad luck running this chest in normal with loads of purples so i stick to hardmode and seem to get way more golds and i love all the elite and normal tomes. I never had a single tome in storage but since running this chest i now have 100's of tomes.

Still looking for other good easy fast chest run spots...

run a/p with can't touch this even if u could have a problem of energy management to keep up SF with deadly paradox and having to cancel stance every while...but at least they don't remove enchants.

EDIT: didn't see u asked for warrior...it's impossible cos those pesky fishes got siphon of speed and they slow you down. the only way to counter them is with A/P and can't touch this

luckily for you theres no carps at boreas seabed, all you need is dash dark escape and shadow of haste for tricky positions + sf and all the other crap

I've done a couple of the magical Plagueborn chest myself too, I've had a lot of luck with spawns though, like 80-85% of the time..

I bring 3 heroes, Thackeray, Morgahn and Koss, Thackeray and Morgahn with "Incoming!" and "Fall Back!" and Koss with "Charge!". Just micro the shouts and you don't even need a running build. I do it on my ssin, just so that I can cast SF when I run in, but it can be done by any prof that way..

I run HM ofc, but I've had like 80% of my drops being armors, so that's kind of ftl^^

What I'm wondering is, can you chestrun Kilroy Stonekin's chests? Because you fail if he dies, which is kind of a bummer, so, is it: kill things to get chest or run by and be lucky? Because with Siege elementals running around casting snares and shit, I'm thinking that's gotta be hard to survive for Kilroy..

I dont think they spawn without you killing the enemys. But maybe if you complete the quest that would cause them to spawn? Like use that spirit that rez's everyone in the area a bit back from a mob. Get kilroy to gain aggro, run back to spirit, rez up without pressing return to outpost, continue as normal? I dont know, just an idea, Although im very sure that the chests dont spawn without you killing a certain mob. It takes me 10mins to do a run including opening chests so im not so bothered

Btw, a hint: the chest sometimes only spawns when you cross the bridge, because it is tied to a mob that still has to jump out.. I find that over half of the chestspawns are related to such mobs and only pop up when you cross it.. Perhaps that's the problem?

had the same thing, for me it wasn't needed to cross the bridge, just wait some secs to make all plagueborns pop out of the ground
