For Unlucky/Lucky I suggest HM tbh. You'll be happy when lockpicks finally break when u have chest + lucky already and just need lucky. So I'd say run HM for unlucky first and if you still don't have lucky after that do some NM runs.

Lucky is longer than unlucky , go first on low lvl chests and use rings to max unlucky , thats the way to go.

If you're looking for Lucky/Unlucky points, you'll have to run where you have a high chance to retain/break Lockpicks.

If you're looking for Treasure Hunter points, you'll have to run where you can hit the most chests in the shortest timeframe.

If you're looking for Wisdom Seeker points, you'll have to run where you get a decent amount of gold item drops (and you might find it easier to just buy unid'ed golds from other players).
I would go for the most unique drops, weapons items or anything that makes running chests fun. Right now I have no idea what's the best place to run for those unique items so I use the service of chest runners. It would be nice of course that the items from the chest make enough to get new lockpicks.

New areas are pretty good to me, then drops turn to crap real fast. As you can see I am also interested in golds. Last night after 15 hm snowman runs items went from all golds and elite tomes to all grapes so I stopped.
I'm having the same problem. Been running a lot in Gyala's Hatchery lately, and drops in HM are slowly getting worse (at first hardly any purples, now its around half purples) . Guess it's time to switch area.

hi guys.. well my 2 cents.

I run Ascalon Foothills in Normal Mode to get my Lucky Title up. I am currently at 900,000 lucky and lv 4 treasure hunter.

Ascalon Foothills yields 1 chest every 1.5 minutes including mapping with a second account - saves some running.

When I get bored I sometimes run Eye of the North Chests outside of Borials Pass. You can get 1 chest in hard mode with mapping in 2 minutes or less.

Or for some fun with no build needed at all, do the Killroy's punchout. There is a chest there every run and takes about 2 minutes.

For Lucky title Ascalon Foothills is the best place to run lockpicks. I have a 88% chance to retain and that is soon to be at 90% WOOT.

For those who run with sin skills and bring P/W, W/P hero builds, I'm guessing that you flag the heroes away while you run into mobs for the chests? I've also seen Shadow of Haste to shadow step back to the original trail. How about bringing Recall instead? Cast it on a hero, flag them further up your path, run in, get the chest, and then cancel recall. Skills will be disabled for a few seconds, but that shouldn't be a bother, and you'll shave a few seconds off of the run. What do you think?

too complicated to do that all the time on a run with 5 chests on the way imo =)

Already finished my Treasure Hunter... Got ~18.000 Chests opened now and like 300.000 away from lucky title max...

ran with hero's + hench all the time... 3 Paragons as hero's, 2 warriors, 2 monks...
I didnt flag anything and i didnt do any micro managment with hero's skills...

Most of the PvE-Mobs are just tooooo weak....
The Healing from "Fall Back!" is enough in most cases...
Or you can use Shadowform and run in the Mob as first person to get aggro from all... so most foes won't attack hench...
after that just break aggro with dash....

even if all henchs get killed while running... who care's?
its still faster than flag, and waste time with casting spells u dont need...

For Lucky Title...
IMO Sunqua Vale is best... in NM of course^^
you start @ Monastery...
Run into the first entrance of the Cave with all the Mantid inside, near Cho's Estates...
There is ALWAYS a chest inside... most times in 1 of the first 2 groups of enemys.

takes like 1min for run and 10seconds to zone....

Noted. Seems to be a good spot along with Ascalon Foothills .

u only need 3 hero's with "Fall Back!" and "Incoming!"...

Guys a bit of help.
I need to max my Unlucky.
Lucky is maxed.
Chest is 3 - close to 4.

Did some Boreal runs. Now if I understand this correctly this is the math:
In HM my RR is 31. Which means that I should be getting some 31 * 2.5 * 69 unlucky points if I were to open 100 chests. On average of course.
IN NM my RR should be 61. That means I should get 61 * 2.5 * 39 points.
5.347,5 unlucky points per 100 chests opened in HM.
5.947,5 in NM.
That means I should get more points in NM and I should keep almost twice as many lockpicks - which means I can run the chests much longer with a certain amount of picks (=money) effectively almost doubling the unlucky points I get in NM.

And once I reach rank 4 in Chest
34 * 2.5 * 66 = 5.610 unlucky point per 100 chests in HM
and 64 * 2.5 * 36 = 5.760 in NM.

Now the questions are:
1. how much worse are the chest drops in NM if I were to decide to go after the ID title also?
2. anything wrong with the math or did interpret the data wrong?
Thanks!

chest drop in nm is junk if you plan on doing boreal go hm you get elite tomes and a bunch of unids. if you sell your unids you MIGHT break even and your unlucky will go up.

1. NM = everything is crap at boreal... really everything! =)
HM = maybe elite tomes, serrated spears, scythe & spear mods, 20% forget me not...

i'd do chestruns in HM if i were you...
its only like 3 or 4 broken picks difference per hour... not such a big difference on way to max title i think =)

Tried it in NM a bit - been getting shitload of Dolyak Prods. The drops did turn to grape after a bit but at the start, there wasn't much difference.
And it certainly shouldn't be only 3 or 4 picks per hour. If I do some 30 runs per hour - I should break almost 70% of picks in HM compared to a bit over 30% in NM. And that means around 20 broken in HM vs 10 in NM.
And that does add up - considering I'll need to do around 5k chest runs - and that means around 2k more picks if I were to do it in HM.

i dont see how u can be motivated to run grapes instead of golds, wasting id kits on purple adds up if u havent already got max wisdom already

running chests is fun when u get golds, thats why when back in the day people would argue who should open the chest first, if its gold then everyone follows, if its purple then u pretty much got owned, was so fun back then didnt even seem like grinding

i suggest HM, more golds, more profit, if ur not making profit then ur doing it wrong, lastly its about the motivation to go on, 5k is a long way to go even tho ur half way

but as of right now i suggest waiting till easter! i need bout 500 to go, can easily do that in 3-4 hours easter

The problem is that if my math is correct, the difference between NM and HM drops needs to amount to around the value of some 2k lockpicks IF I choose to not care about the ID title but just go as high as I can go. Which means that HM drops need to bring in some 2,5 mil gold more than NM drops would. And based on the fact that most of the Boreal drops are merch crap - I don't see that happening.
Hence why I asked.

your math is correct. NM is cheaper in every way to max the title. buy unid golds if you need to make up for less golds, its still cheaper.

Default Maxing Lucky Title:

Hi, so I want to Max my lucky title, and I hear that chest running in NM on noob-island is a great and cheap way to do this. However, it's so hard to find a good area to do this quickly and to find an almost constant chest. Can anyone give me a good area for this please? Thanks!
