Default Warrior for legendary survivor questions.

I am going to make a warrior and I have both prophecies and factions. I know you level faster in factions with the starter island. But I was wondering wouldn't prophecies be better to start in? Since theres no double damage dealing bosses or exploding creatures.

The main thing I am worried about though is for prophecies warrior, when you go to post you have to do a pvp battle. In which case if I die in that, I lose it already.

Any suggestions?

Well there's the warrior named "Guild Wars God" who has the Legendary Survivor title.. find him in the Survivor thread in the Community Works section.

I recommend starting in Cantha, then moving to Tyria after completing Shing Jea. Cantha doesn't present any real difficulty until you get to the mainland, and you can accrue a good 150k~200k XP before doing Vizunah simply by completing all of the fedex quests on Shing Jea and around Kaineng. At low levels, the exploding afflicted and double-damage bosses aren't dangerous to warriors, provided you upgrade your armor periodically.

If you want to go with a Prophecies char, I think you can log out at the pre-sear pvp thing and log back in at post-sear Ascalon (though I'm not really too sure about this).

The main reason I like prophecies is because of most of the skills(it seems like you get more skills from quests). Plus you can get ran around pretty easily(except to droknars) without having to do missions. Also theres nothing to kill you during early levels except maybe charr.

Start in Cantha, get to Lvl20, then go to Tyria and get Ascended. After that, cap elite skills, or farm mino's/trolls.

The only valid point that you made is the first one, regarding skills.

Being 'ran around pretty easily' is irrelevant, because you want the survivor title - meaning you should be completing missions and quests. Shing Jea is a *very* small map that doesn't require runners, and the area around Kaineng can be fedex'd by any character with any build, because you rarely have to aggro anything. You don't *want* to be run anywhere during this period.

Being killed in early levels might be a valid concern if you weren't building a warrior. As it is, upgrading your armor and wearing a shield is more than sufficient to keep you alive. If you're a warrior and you're dying on Shing Jea, then I honestly don't know what to tell you except that maybe the survivor title isn't for you.

What it comes down to is whether you want questable skills before Lion's Arch, or whether you want to level quickly. Since you're going for survivor I'd recommend the latter.
